Amazing space, great people & good food!

I booked them for a work party & my crew LOVED IT. They were super attentive & were able to accommodate all our requests. The golf sim was a hit & I had to remind several people to eat, they were so obsessed with the games. I loved the themed cocktails & the food had huge portions. (I ended up taking quite a bit of pasta home & it was just as good the next day ). I would Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a cool, casual dinning experience or a place to host your game night. I can’t wait to go back with the group for karaoke night on Thursday!

Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the second we walked in, our server/bartender Kyle was phenomenal—friendly, engaging, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about his craft. The atmosphere is amazing, the Greek hoagie with street corn was delicious, and the cocktails were some of the best I’ve ever had—handcrafted with care, especially the Violet Myst (egg whites done perfectly!). On top of that, the golf simulator and gaming areas make The Block House more than just a place to eat—it’s the perfect spot for a full night out. Kyle and the team absolutely nailed it. Five stars all the way!

First time in- ordered cheese curds and they got cold on the table. Also it seems they used the same prep dish for their serve dish(pictured). There was no sign indicating if you wait to be seated or seat yourself. No napkins in sight- not to mention no paper towels in the bathroom. Also every modification is a upcharge?! Disappointed since this is the only restaurant in Olivet… you wouldn’t think they’d try a little harder to BE THE restaurant in Olivet.

A buddy and I stopped last Friday for a couple beers right about the time they opened at 3. It is quite a unique space. They have many TVs, gaming computers, and quite a few different seating options. We sat at the bar and the place got progressively busier up to the time we left. The beers and mixed drinks we had were reasonably priced. I had an Old Fashioned and it was $7.50. My friend got a pizza to go and he told me he will order it again. Definitely will be back.

Food is prepared well, good presentation, and tasty. I admit I was disappointed as I was looking forward to the ethnic cuisine that was on the old menu. They now serve burgers, fish tacos, and pizza. I was really looking forward to something different, but can certainly understand those are the foods that fit for a college town.

We live in Olivet, and haven’t been into the BH until tonight….(unfortunately!) It was a long week and late, and we didn’t want to drive far so we decided to stop in order dinner and have a drink while we waited, and we found a gem!
Leah the bartender was so fantastic, she made amazing drinks, was attentive, informative and we truly enjoyed her. There’s nothing better than a great bartender! We took a little long to order food, as we were enjoying drinks and enjoying our time, and the kitchen should have closed but stayed to make our dinner and they nailed it. We got to meet the GM after watching him hand toss our pizza crust, he was super friendly and took great care of us as well, super cool guy! We got home, had the best dinner, we got the Firecrackers, Dumplings, Margherita Pizza and the Hawaiian Pizza….. yes our eyes were bigger than our stomachs but every bite was worth it!
Honestly we are already looking forward to going back to try the simulator with all the active games like golf, basketball, football ect. You can bring your own clubs or use their’s, I think we will bring ours next time! Such a cool experience in a small country/college town! Next time games new cocktails and dessert! Thanks BH team of Olivet for a great experience , until next time!

Update: we went to the dinner and a movie night that happens once a month. Food was fantastic, and we really enjoyed the movie!

We won’t be back. I suggest you go ANYWHERE else.

I had high hopes for this place as the reviews were 4.4 stars. I didn’t read the reviews and wish I had.

We were in the area and thought we would try it since the menu looked decent.

As several others have said, they were out of a lot of things!! We were told when we came in that the only appetizer they could make was loaded fries. They also said they couldn’t make the Mac n Cheese, Honey Salmon, or Steak Diane. This is when we should have left.

My husband ordered what was supposed to be a double smash burger. It came out as a single.

My son ordered the margherita pizza. It was huge, but disappointing. He was given a dirty plate. I wondered if they were also out of dish soap. I thought the pizza had a plastic taste. My husband said it tasted like Chef Boyardee box pizza from the 80’s. My son chose not to bring home the leftovers.

I tried to order a supreme pizza, not knowing how large the pizzas were. The waitress came back a few minutes later and said they couldn’t make it because they had no pepperoni or sausage. I could try to order a special pizza if I could figure out what to order with prosciutto and pineapple. I asked for the menu again. I was the lucky one. The spinach artichoke tortellini bake was good.

Waited forever to be acknowledged once sat down when only 4 other tables in, table that arrived after ours was greeted and order taken at least 10 minutes before ours. Margarita was absolutely disgusting as was the mocktail. My daughter ordered a pasta with chicken only to be told they didn’t have chicken. Ordered steak tacos, was informed they did not have elote…. said ok. 20 minutes later waitress approached table and stayed they couldnt make steak tacos at all. The food that was served was cold and obviously frozen, nothing made fresh. Was never checked on to see if any refills or another drink. Absolutely terrible food and even worse service, only reason 1 star is given is because I can’t give zero. Definitely won’t go back, will drive to Charlotte for dinner next time I am in town for dinner with my college kid.

We have been to this restaurant multiple times over the past couple of years. We went there this evening following a soccer game and the food was terrible and most was burned past the point of edible. They ran out of house chips so the substituted stale tortilla chips. Smash burgers were thick strip burgers. Hair was found in one of the burger, cheap chicken strips so over cooked they could be used as stones. As if the food wasn’t bad enough the waitress was terrible also. She just delivered the terrible food with their “substitutions” then delivered the $120 bill as if the experience wasn’t horrendous! That will be the last time we go to this terrible restaurant!
