Incredible barbecue!
Michelin recognized and one taste tells you why.
I’ve eaten a lot of BBQ from many restaurants and this one might be untouchable.

First thing to know is parking is a huge challenge.

The food is the reason people overlook the
Issues.

The restaurant is well laid out and the adjacent outdoors covered dining is good.

The line out the door is your first hint of greatness awaiting the patient.

The two cashiers are quick and move customers efficiently,

Not since Li’l Bob’s BBQ at the State Fair of Texas have I found an equal to smoked bologna sandwiches!

The cut was thick and cooked perfectly.
Sides were Mac n cheese and dill potato salad
Pictures below .
Every bite of these choices was soul satisfying.

The menu has so many traditional dishes common to BBQ fare.

At my table, plates included brisket, ribs, chicken and wonderful sides.

I highly recommend this restaurant

See you there!

The gang made it over to Panther City BBQ for some their craft BBQ. It was a cold Saturday morning which I think maybe have kept the crowd smaller. We were thru the line in no time and actually secured a table inside where it was warm.
I went for the chili but also ordered the Southside Slammer to deconstruction for multiple work lunches, a link of their jalapeño cheese sausage, and had to have a taste of their Nutter Butter Cheesecake Pudding. I wish I had ordered a large chili, it was that good. The sausage was outstanding and the Southside Slammer ended up making three work lunches. The NBC Pudding was a tasty treat worth the trip alone.
I’m marking them in my to return book. Just know there is limited seating indoors with covered seating just outside. There is a small parking lot with plenty of street curb parking available.

Panther City BBQ has quickly become one of our go-to spots in Fort Worth. We’ve been multiple times now, and the brisket is consistently outstanding — tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The pork belly burnt ends absolutely melt in your mouth, and the pork belly popper is a fun, flavorful twist that’s worth trying.

The smoked turkey is done right (not dry at all), and the beef & garlic sausage has great depth of flavor. The brisket street tacos were a perfect-sized meal, and while I’m all about the brisket, my friend swears by the pork spare ribs.

Pro tip: meats are priced by the pound, but you can order as little as ¼ lb — which is a great way to sample a variety.

The sides are solid and lean into a familiar Tex-Mex flavor profile — good complements to the meat, though the barbecue is definitely the star of the show.

Consistently excellent BBQ and well worth repeat visits

Panther City BBQ hits the spot every time. The food is packed with flavor and cooked just right. The brisket is tender, the ribs are solid, and the sides make the whole plate come together. The atmosphere feels like real Fort Worth. Good people, good music, and a place where you can relax and enjoy your meal. The staff is friendly and keeps things moving even when it gets busy. If you want true Texas BBQ with a great vibe, this is the place to go. And seriously, stop reading reviews and get over here already. Your stomach will thank you the moment you walk in.

Panther City BBQ in Fort Worth is one of the places that excites me the most, and truly the best barbecue I’ve ever had. Their Saturday special ribs are absolute perfection—tender, flavorful, and simply unforgettable. Every bite feels like heaven.

The atmosphere is lively and genuinely enjoyable. Football games play on the TVs, families and friends gather at the tables, and most of the crowd are friendly locals who give the place an authentic, welcoming vibe. The staff are warm and efficient, and the food comes out incredibly fast.

You simply cannot leave without a happy and satisfied stomach. Everything is done with care and consistency, from the smoked meats to the sides. It’s no surprise that Panther City BBQ has earned a Michelin Guide recommendation—it is truly well deserved.

An outstanding Fort Worth experience and a must-visit for anyone who loves real Texas barbecue!

Stopped in to see what the Michelin buzz was about and it absolutely delivered. I had the brisket, sausages, half chicken, and spicy mac and cheese. Everything was solid, but the brisket was the undeniable star. Deeply smoky, richly beefy, perfectly tender, and exceptionally well rendered, with a bold bark and a juicy, buttery interior that pulled apart effortlessly without falling apart. It tasted intentional, confident, and dialed in. The sausages were savory and well seasoned, the chicken was moist and flavorful packed with pepper (which i enjoy – some may not), and the spicy mac and cheese was creamy, comforting, and balanced, not just filler on the plate. I planned on trying the ribs, but they were already sold out, which honestly says enough. I’d come back without hesitation, just earlier next time. Those ribs are clearly the move.

Authentic Texas BBQ from atmosphere all the way to the brisket. The brisket is standard good fare, the flat well-rendered. The beef ribs are moist and smoky, with a decent bark.

My surprises though are the smoked chicken and the dill potato salad. The smoked chicken is really moist and has great smoke. I accidentally ate a quarter on my own because it was not too fatty and thus nice to rest slowly. There’s multiple notes of smoke and of chicken, unlike the one fat note of beef ribs.

Similarly the dill potato salad is very refreshing. The potatoes are smooth. The dill and mustard each provide a great contrast to the barbecue. I highly recommend each.

The macaroni and cheese was decent but thick, maybe order a smaller portion. Same for the elote.

I ate this takeaway and wish I had eaten there. But if you eat there you can’t eat in your sweatpants. So it’s a trade.

I just happened to be in Fort Worth over the weekend on a Saturday evening to run a quick errand downtown, and by the time I wrapped up, I was starving. I remembered hearing about Panther City BBQ, the Michelin recognized barbecue spot here in town so I figured I try it.

It was awesome, no line at all. I ordered, grabbed my food, and found a seat with no problem. But no joke, by the time I sat down and took a few bites, the place was packed and the line was already at the door. They filled up fast! Thankfully there’s plenty of seating inside, and parking really wasn’t a big deal either. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.

Now for the food… the brisket sandwich was amazing, juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, with soft, fresh buns that held everything together perfectly. And the pork belly burnt ends? Absolutely out of this world. Savory, a little sweet, perfectly caramelized, easily some of the best I’ve ever had.

Even the sides impressed us. The potato salad tasted fresh and homemade, and the borracho beans were hands down the best I’ve ever had rich, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the meats.

Everything from the meats to the sides to the laid back, welcoming atmosphere, they really knocked it out of the park. I would highly recommend stopping by if you’re anywhere near Fort Worth. Totally worth it!

I’ve been here a few times and it has always been excellent. I haven’t had them all yet, but this brisket belong in TM Top 50. Elote is special, nearly a meal in itself and the poppers (texas twinkees?) are outstanding. Try to work this into any trip to Ft. Worth.

Our favorites were the pork ribs and burnt ends. The burnt ends were noticeably tastier than Heim’s. We were quite disappointed with the brisket surprisingly. Very dry and not much flavor. The brisket at Terry Black’s was much more moist and flavorful. The “original” sausage was very tasty. Coleslaw was unbearably spicy and unenjoyable. The price for the whole meal was much more reasonable than Terry Black’s.
