I am still dreaming about my Quinoa Mango Bowl from Seebar, it was honestly one of the freshest, most flavourful dishes I’ve had in a long time. The combination of fluffy quinoa, sweet juicy mango, crisp greens, and perfectly balanced toppings was an explosion of textures and flavours that felt both indulgent and nourishing at the same time. It’s one of those meals where every bite just gets better and better.
The environment at Seebar is equally as special. The atmosphere is bright, relaxed, and welcoming, with a kind of effortless charm that instantly makes you feel at ease. It’s the perfect mix of cozy and lively, you could come here with friends for a long chat, bring your family for a relaxed meal, or simply sit solo with good food and soak in the vibe.
Service was another highlight. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely warm, the kind of people who make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time there. Nothing felt rushed or transactional; instead, it felt like they cared about creating a great dining experience for everyone.
Both my cousin and I ordered the Quinoa Mango Bowl, and we were not disappointed. Nina added goat’s cheese to hers, which was such a game-changer, creamy, tangy, and the perfect complement to the sweetness of the mango. Safe to say, I’ll definitely be copying her order next time!
And speaking of next time, I have to admit… the last slide is me happily polishing off Nina’s leftovers for lunch the next day . That’s how good it was, I couldn’t let a single bite go to waste.
Seebar, you will See me again very soon, and next time I’ll be bringing my whole family, because food this good deserves to be shared.

Good food, a wide variety of drinks. I had the fish fillet with potatoes and bacon with a nice side of aioli. The truffle burger was good too. We had a nice cold swim in the sea after our meal, which cost €3.50 each.

If you plan to eat here, please book in advance! A VERY popular spot on a nice day and everyone in Kiel seems to know to book ahead. All reservations will be put ahead of you, even if you are waiting at the door and see tables free. We waited for quite some time before being seated and were only seated after checking in with pretty rude, nonchalant staff at least 3 times. We nearly walked away. But once seated, staff were generally attentive and friendly. Drinks were served quickly. Meals were slow – but they were also very busy. So don’t eat here if you are under time pressure. Perfect place to sit ‘ON’ the ocean, enjoy the sunshine, view and a nice meal and a few drinks with friends. A better system is needed for people without reservations, who are willing to wait at your door for a table.

it was sooo pretty! the ambience and the location was so nice and a great view while you eat. staff were helpful and its such an amazing place to go on a sunny day. you can also swim there by the way. the food was yummy and the homemade lemonades were refreshing. although its normally crowded so its probably better to reserve in advance

It’s a great place to hang out with friends specially in summer and particularly convenient for people who like to swim in the sea with a lovely sun deck. A large variety of drinks are available and so is food selection.

I’ve been here twice, for breakfast and for late drinks, and both times left me impressed and excited to return.
The bar itself is a bit out of the way from the city core, but that is no reason not to visit. The food was great at breakfast, and the atmosphere was awesome in the evening, but the highlight of the bar is without question the awesome bartenders and patrons, at least the few times I visited.
I hope to come back some day: this place is a must visit again!
