Stopped in for some breakfast on a recent road trip. Ordering on the app always makes a McDonald’s visit easier. However, this McDonalds was not the visit we were expecting. We ordered a big breakfast meal with hotcakes, a sausage egg and cheese McMuffin, a peppermint hot chocolate (still on the app) and a large soft drink. They didn’t actually have the peppermint mocha, no big deal, a regular mocha is fine. But the breakfast didn’t come with anything else. No butter, no syrup, no jam for the biscuit, not even a fork. We also asked for a few ice waters and were promptly ignored. The other items we received were hot and fresh, but definitely check your order before leaving.

Spacious clean lobby. Fresh hot food. Friendly staff other than getting the cold shoulder for a minute after arriving at the counter (pushing to use the kiosk is my best guess). I’ll mention also that I had to make 3 trips to the counter for BBQ sauce. Manager bagging food would only give 2 at a time and I had 8 tenders (not nuggets) also asked for napkins and at first was told they would be on the tray but I had ketchup on my fingers at the time. Fortunately after I held my hand up no further questions were asked.

So sloppy. Ice coffee is always inconsistent. And too expensive to keep messing up. Not to mention 2 out of 8 times you have to sit and wait for them to take your order.

It takes a while to figure out the menu system, but once you understand what’s hidden under which labels it’s pretty good. No more ketchup packs so you have to carry out cups of ketchup which is difficult if you’re carrying bags of food and drinks. No more carriers for the drinks. The kitchen staff looks pretty grim.

My husband and I stopped in for a bite of lunch while traveling to Pigeon Forge. No one was working at the order counter, but there were several ladies working on getting boxed orders together and never even looked over to acknowledge that we were standing there ready to order. There were no other patrons in the lobby. After 10 minutes of waiting, my husband asked one of the ladies if anyone was taking orders. She looked at him, didn’t answer and continued working on her “boxed orders.” We finally left and went next door to Hardees, instead.

On July 16, 2024. Arrived at location some where between 8-8:30pm. Store was not busy at all, so I rolled thru Drive Thru to make a quick. I ordered 4 mc doubles and what I received was 4 sandwich with dried up over cooked meat hardly any ketchup or mustered and one pickle on each sandwich there was no onions at all! Also adding picture of food I was expected to eat! What really tops this whole traction off is my order was handed to me by the Manger on duty. I am very of this because Mangers drees different then employees.
I tried to call the store back but phone only wrong and then went to fax machine…
UPDATE!…………
I finally got a hold of John at 9:12p.m. was told if I got the receipt to head on back to the restaurant and he would replace but I have to get up at 3am for work so asked if it would be ok to come tomorrow. Which he said that would not be a problem. However the concern that I have is why is it I have to bring receipt and drive back to store, this should have never been a issue and now I am spending gas to get back up there tomorrow so now these sandwich have just about double in cost for me but I will not never leave a place before checking my order no matter where it comes from for now own

Exit 8 in Morristown is a good place for a quick breakfast before getting into “Malfunction Junction” Knoxville. That exit has a number of restaurants butvthat McDonalds is well managed.

My cheeseburger top bun was wet and soggy in the middle gave me an awful mushy taste . Constantly shooing flys away while I try to eat the decent part of my food In the lobby. I noticed crew members had on hats while in the kitchen and every manager in the kitchen didn’t have on a hat or hairnet when I asked a service manager why everyone’s hair was not covered with a hat or hair net her response was they are not required too (which is a lie) don’t wanna think about why my burger was wet or what other rules the service manager breaks/bends for her convenience . Picture attached to show I ate both sides of my burger and avoided the middle
