I stumbled upon this little gem while on vacation in the Tampa area and it did not disappoint! I grabbed some ice cream and a fresh coconut, and both were absolutely refreshing and delicious. The ice cream was creamy, flavorful, and perfect for the warm weather, while the fresh coconut was naturally sweet and hydrating exactly what I needed on a sunny day. The spot has a relaxed, friendly vibe, making it perfect for a quick treat while exploring the area. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Tampa and craving something sweet and refreshing!

We stopped in for a last minute bite to eat for lunch. It was our first visit. The employees were friendly and helpful with the menu. Our Island Cuban did not disappoint. My husband and I shared a 9″ sandwich and that was plenty They cut and divided it between two baskets. Before we left we had ice cream. I inquired as to where it was made because I am an ice cream snob and didnt want anything I can buy myself in a store. The girl at the counter pointed out that Yoders (brown bins) were homemade
Our flavors were delish! Pumpkin Swirl, salted praline pecan, rum raisin and Kahlua espresso
I definitely recommend going here and supporting local.❣️

Stepping into Kooky Coconut Café feels like finding a little tropical treasure by the sea. ✨ The atmosphere is cozy, cheerful, and full of sunshine — a perfect place to pause, breathe, and enjoy.

Here I discovered the freshest coconut with lemon — so simple, so pure, yet so magical. And my companion ordered their Anleche Ice coffee — smooth, refreshing, and full of flavor. Together it was the perfect balance — tropical lightness and gentle energy.

Alongside, the café offers a wonderful variety: ice creams, craft cakes, sandwiches, and salads — all served with love and a smile. Every detail makes you feel at home — warm, cared for, and welcomed.

Kooky Coconut Café is not just a café, it’s a gentle embrace in the middle of the day. Thank you for your hospitality — the world feels brighter with you in it. ✨

This place is a real gem. Ordered their original Tampa Cuban and it was as good as the hype. Plenty of pork, ham, pickles, and cheese to fill it. The flavor of the fillings put into pressed fresh bread made it a great sandwich. By far the best Cuban I’ve ever had. The location and decor adds on to the cool beach vibe you gotta love. Was a perfect grab for a lunch on the beach

Casual little spot with amazing Cuban sandwiches! Quick, efficient service plus friendly employees. Try the Salted Caramel Praline Pecan ice cream, so good.

Somethings you cannot mess up. Like hand dipped ice cream. The toasted coconut ice cream is among the best I have ever had. A fresh young coconut is another thing you cannot mess up, delicious. The Mexican food at the Kooky Coconut is among the worst I have ever had. If you got an Old El Paso taco kit, it would be 5x better than Kooky’s hard shell tacos. The chicken tacos contained chicken that looked like it came out of can, and it tasted even worse than bland canned chicken. The chips and guac looked like supermarket round tortilla chips and guac was not fresh, but more like canned guac. Maybe the Cuban sandwiches are ok, but the Mexican is not good.

Been coming here since I was a child, I am now closer to my 30’s. There’s a reason this place is still around. Super cute inside for one, amazing icecream and perfect beach food and quick service. I always get the Superman icecream since it was a staple for me as a child.

It is a very nice place to grab some ice cream or other food right next to public beach access in Indian Rocks Beach. The service staff all three times that we stopped were pleasant and accommodated our grandson’s peanut allergy. Prices are very reasonable. I wish that I could have tried their Cuban sandwich. Friends told me it’s the best in the area. Next time, I will.

Great spot for a quick bite and some good ice cream. The Tampa Cuban was awesome. Hot, melty cheese, and crisp bread. Great sandwich. They make a 4 1/2 inch on that’s nice if you’re not needing a ton of food. Nice beach vibe with beach access right next door. I’ll definitely be back here next time I’m in the area.

This is such an awesome place to get lunch/dinner in IRB! The guy working (didn’t get his name) was so friendly & had great recommendations. We got the 6” tampa Cuban & chicken Cuban to split. Both delicious! Plus some amazing ice cream. Also very allergy conscious if u have a nut allergy!
