I’m an absolute taco lover, and this spot totally won me over! The tacos are insanely delicious and very reasonably priced. You can really feel the passion and love for food coming from the kitchen. I’ll definitely be coming back.
I tried a variety of flavors, and hands down, the duck taco was my favorite—it’s sweet, fresh, and absolutely mouthwatering. The shrimp taco was just okay, but everything tasted really fresh overall. The drinks were fantastic, and the music created such a great vibe. I love this place, and I’m already planning my next visit!

No wait time! I ordered the seared chorizo and retro chicken tinga tacos and my friend ordered the pork belly, shrimp, and the chicken verde tacos. Our favorite was the chicken tinga with the chicken verde as a close second. We also ordered Mexican Sprite and Coca-Cola. We also ordered churros and tres leches, but a while after the churros arrived I realized they might’ve forgotten the tres leches. I did notify the waitress and she apologized and brought it to me a few minutes later.

Popped in for some solo dining and was delighted with the experience. My server, Erin, took the time to explain how everything worked since I hadn’t been before and had great recommendations when asked. Food was pretty good, just the right amount for lunch and super flavourful. Lots of people in there at that time so a nice, relaxed atmosphere too!

Went in for a surprise going away party this past weekend. John the manager was super helpful in accommodating my big party. We were served by Aaron and he was great. Everyone was attentive and nice – overall, great service! The margs and pork belly tacos were our favorite!

I visited Bartaco on a Monday around 7 p.m. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated immediately. Shortly after sitting down, a waiter came over to ask if we wanted drinks, even before we had a chance to look at the menu, which felt a bit rushed.
After placing our food order, the dishes arrived fairly quickly. Unfortunately, the order was incorrect and we were missing one taco for one person at the table. When I asked the waiter which taco was the duck taco, he did not know and gave me the wrong answer. A food runner then stepped in and corrected him. She was far more knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive than our actual waiter, who seemed distracted and not very focused on our table.
As for the food, it was just okay. It lacked flavor overall. The tortillas were not tasty and were made with flour instead of corn, which was disappointing. The salsas were underwhelming, and the meat was quite bland, relying heavily on cilantro for flavor rather than seasoning.
Aside from these issues, everything else was fine. However, having to leave a tip or service charge for an experience we did not really enjoy was frustrating. Overall, this is not a place I would recommend or return to in the future.

My large party and I had a great experience at bartaco this weekend! One of the managers, John, helped ensure service went smoothly, and our server Aaron was on top of food and drinks! The vibes were great, food was delicious, and the margs (as always) were fantastic.

This was my 1st time at this location, I usually go to West Port. Hartford traffic overwhelms me but things went smooth this trip. There is parking in the from and back but you have to pay at the meter. Unfortunately it didn’t work for me, so I had to download the app to pay.
I walked into what I thought was Bartaco but it it was Barcelona. Apparently the two are right in front and behind each other. Bartaco is in the front lol. The ambiance in both was top tier lol.
Once I got to the right establishment I was immediately greeted and asked where I’d like to sit. Everything was clean and very nice. After I chose my sit, I was asked how I’d like to order and if I was aware of the QR code and dragon card. I replied yes and placed my order through the qr. typically I’m used to not having many interactions with staff this way, but that was different here. The manager checked in and asked if everything with my order went okay. I pointed out that the price was a lil higher. When we checked I realized I ordered 2 street corns. He offered to take one off but I said I was okay, if e could just send the 2nd to go. I ordered Korean Bbq Ribeye Rice Bowl, Pork Belly taco, Street Corn, Pineapple Express and Churros. Each dish was brought out by a server that confirmed the order and greeted me with a smile.
This was my 1st time trying a rice bowl and the Pineapple Express. The bowl was yummy but the kimchi was way too salty. When I removed it, everything else was perfect. The tacos are really small, like you can finish them in one bite, so I usually order 3. Pork Belly is my favorite. I love the flavor and the texture of the meat. The Street Corn is elote which I love. It’s the perfect combination of salty and sweet. The Pineapple Express was a 10 out of 10! If I wasn’t driving would’ve ordered another one. The flavor was delicious and is was not weak! The churros are always top tier. Perfectly crispy, warm and sweet. They come with two sauces. I find the chocolate to be overpowering. Very strong like dark chocolate meets expresso. The vanilla is lightly sweet yet very flavorful. You can taste the vanilla bean. The manager and other staff checked on me several times. The customer service was top tier. I highly recommend and I will be back to try something new. Especially that Tres Leches!

Our first time at bartaco was awesome! We usually go to El Santo but wanted to switch it up! It didn’t disappoint. All the tacos were delicious. Highly recommend the birria tacos, Short rib tacos, street corn, and duck tacos. The fresh squeezed juices were good too! We will definitely be back again!

Bar taco has top notch, quality ingredients and well prepared food and drink. I would highly recommend the ahi tuna Taco, street corn and guacamole.
They have a unique ordering style which makes things easy for those with social anxiety.
