We had dinner here and it was very good. I had a chicken enchilada and a cheese enchilada. My husband had a beef tamale and shredded beef taco and our friend had a beef taco and cheese enchilada. My dish was good. The taco was crispy with a lot of chicken. I wanted some spice, so I added some salsa to it. The enchilada sauce was nice with good, rich flavor. My husband m said the shredded beef was really good and the tamale was great.

Love this place! We were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance. There’s indoor and outdoor seating available. It was such a beautiful day the day we came that we sat outside. There were cute little birds to pick up any crumbs that fell on the ground. There were beautiful plants all around. After we ate lunch, we took a stroll around the garden and marveled at the flowers and succulents. What a sight to see! The food, customer service and environment were excellent! We had a very relaxing dining experience.

I love the serenity of this restaurant. I’ve been there during festivals and quiet weekdays and the service was always good. I had albondigas soup. Although the portion was generous, my utensils kept sliding over to my husband’s plate to try his enchilada, rice and beans. They offer fresh fruit margaritas, yum! Take the extra steps to this restaurant after visiting The San Juan Bautista Mission.

Arrived on the Saturday night before super bowl Sunday without a reservation. No problem getting a table outside under the heat lamps. My girlfriend ordered the Albondigas (meatball soup) and I ordered the tostada with chicken. The meatball soup was unbelievable! She turned me on to it and it was exceptional! I’m going to order my own bowl next time haha. The tostada was also delicious, I’d say the only negative would be that the grilled chicken was a little overdone. But the taste with the sour cream and guacamole all mixed up was killer. Always a good atmosphere, but for me it’s better when people are not letting their kids run around. I love kids, but if you want them running around and swinging on things, you should take them to the playground or teach them how to behave at a restaurant. We sat outside under the heat lamps, which was nice, until it was almost closing time and then they turned the lamps off and it got cold quickly. I guess that was our cue to get out of there! Overall a nice experience.

Every time we pass through San Juan Bautista, Jardines is a must. Peaceful patio, magical gardens, and great food that never disappoints. The chile relleno & cheese enchilada plate is my go-to—it’s the kind of dish that makes you plan your next visit before you even leave.

I love this Mexican restaurant. The food is top-notch and homemade. Everything is delicious and the atmosphere is lovely. The staff are always fast and helpful. It’s heavenly to eat outside and enjoy the views. I also like seeing all the pretty birds who frequent here as well. Their great food is fantastic! Come here hungry because there’s so many fabulous options to enjoy.

Kitty-Corner across from the Mission San Juan Bautista, Jardines is set an a spacious area of indoor and outdoor seating. our server, Lupita, was a delight – she could brighten anyone’s day with her positive demeanor and attentive service. In the kitchen, you could hear genuine joy as the staff quietly sang and joked about. All the guest seemed in great spirits too, including the local CHP that seemed to have a favorite table. Just an hour away from that Bay Area, this was a lovely change of pace.

There aren’t many places to choose from when you are visiting San Juan Bautista, but Jardines didn’t disappoint. The outdoor space is wonderful. The venue is set up to host private parties, so we got lucky and there was live music playing in the background. Service was excellent and the food was yummy. We had the Baja Tacos, one shrimp and one fish. TBH fish was way better than the shrimp. We would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

I’ve worked a few weddings here and it has always been amazing. Two days ago my couple and I were at Old Mission Church and they wanted something a little closer to their style. I recommended Jardines but reminded them the restaurant is usually busy and they understood. Anyway, we walked on over, the bartenders were so sweet and allowed us to head to the back. That is where we met Bly… she is the sweetest event coordinator and allowed us to use the space for photos and we felt so comfortable and loved her vibe. Overall, this place is so welcoming and beautiful. I cannot wait to be back here again soon!

This is a hidden gem. At least, I thought. When I went there with my Boss (he treated me at that restaurant for my birthday. Thanks Boss), it was packed from the opening hour itself. Great garden, great menu, great service, next to the historic mission in San Juan Bautisda. Their combo plates, desserts are very nice.
