We celebrated a friend’s 50th birthday at Dickie Brennan’s, and it could not have been a better experience.
We were set up in a private dining room that was beautiful and comfortable, making the night feel truly special. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between elegant and relaxed.
Our server, Miguel, was phenomenal. He was attentive, incredibly professional, and genuinely kind. He made excellent recommendations and ensured we felt taken care of throughout the evening. His service really elevated the experience.
The food was excellent. Standouts included the oyster appetizers, onion rings, and crab cake. The 16oz NY strip, Oscar style, was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Sides like the potatoes au gratin and cream of spinach were rich, classic, and delicious. The cocktail and whiskey selection was also impressive.
For dessert, the chocolate cake was outstanding and the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.
Dickie Brennan’s delivered on every level. Great food, exceptional service, and a wonderful setting for a special occasion. We’ll absolutely be back.

This place is easily one of my top three steakhouses. The filet mignon was cooked just right with a perfect crust and amazing seasoning. The mac and cheese was creamy, rich, and an easy 10 out of 10. I started with the crab cake, which had no breadcrumbs, just pure crab. It was the best crab cake I’ve ever had.
Our server gave us excellent service from start to finish. He was friendly, knew the menu well, and gave great suggestions. He checked in at the right times, made sure we had everything we needed, and was very professional. His warm attitude really made the whole experience even better. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves great food and top-notch service.

This place was great and our server Lugene made it even better. He was great got us seated, situated and food ordered in all of 7 minutes. The food was delicious and prepared just as we ordered it. My wife praised our waiter many times and it was just an all around great experience. Everything was done in such a professional and timely manner. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants good atmosphere, food and service. The ribeye was great by the way and my wife enjoyed the prime rib.

Had an absolutely spectacular meal at Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse. The New York strip was cooked, absolutely perfectly and was seasoned perfectly as well Caesar salad fantastic. Our waiter, Jackson, was super attentive and took care of all of our needs. Definitely the place to go to for superior steaks in New Orleans. Best steak I have ever eaten at a restaurant.

We had reservations on 10/31/2025. We had saved up for a nice birthday dinner. The Beef Wellington was very tough and not good at all most of the meat was inedible. It did not seem to be beef tenderloin. The sides were by far the best part of the meal. It was very disappointing. The server and staff were amazing though. The service was outstanding, just wish the food matched.

Terrible! Waited over an hour for our food and when it came out, it was cold. I will not recommend. Party of 6 and not one of us enjoyed our meals. My steak was burned when we ordered medium well. I’ve never in my life experienced such horrible experience from a steakhouse. The Mac was drowning in oil. Couldn’t even eat it. I was highly disappointed. The shrimp cocktail had a weird after taste but that was the only thing I had to pay for since I was so hungry and ate it.

Made a reservation months in advance to ensure a party of 6. The dining room was a bit empty when we arrived, but by the time we were done it was VERY busy! Brooke, our server, was AMAZING! Patient, fun and fit right in with our crazy family reunion atmosphere. The food…oh my…the FOOD. Our steaks were perfect and amazing and even those at the table who don’t normally like things like Brussel Sprouts and spinach were delighted.
We try to make time to come every year and are never disappointed. This year was no exception. We’re already looking forward to next year!
