We were the only ones there when we arrived, but by the time we left around 1pm the place was completely full… and now we know why!
Everything was spotless (even the bathrooms), and
the food portions were so generous we all had leftovers.
I had the mahi sandwich with tots (SO good), my daughter had the chicken, and my hubby ordered the Reuben — every single plate was a win.
And let me just say… the pretzel?! AMAZING. My bestie is obsessed with pretzels and I’m already planning to bring her and her daughter back just for that! We came from Jacksonville and we will be back.
Saw some negative reviews, but despite seeing them I went to check it for myself and I can see they are doing a great job and working hard to make the patrons happy.
Crowd: This place brings in a great crowd.
Views: This place has great views of the aircraft we saw along the landing strip
This place provides Live Music
It’s a sports bar- lots of TVs to catch a game.
Food: The clam chowder was cooked from scratch. You can taste how fresh it is. The pretzel is another fan favorite. We got a ton of food, my one note is to not over cook those chips. The chips could be better.
Will be back!
The pretzel appetizer is so big, we couldn’t even finish it but had just the right crispy/fluffy ratio. Comes with choice of beer cheese, honey mustard, and queso to dip.
Triggerfish tacos were the special.
Great selection of drinks, including mocktails! Prices are reasonable, don’t expect “cheap”. We saw 1-2 planes since it was a cloudy day.
We’re big sports fans, so we really appreciated all the TVs throughout the bar and dining area. Every football game you could think of was on, so no matter who you were cheering for, you could catch the action. We were tempted to sit outside because it was such a beautiful day (and the view of the planes taking off is so cool!), but there are no TVs out there yet — adding a few would be the icing on the cake!
For food, we started with the pretzel appetizer, which was one of the best pretzels I’ve ever had. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with fries — excellent! My husband had the blackened mahi sandwich, which he said was delicious, although the bun was a bit too small for the large piece of fish. My sister ordered the cheeseburger and said it was amazing and cooked perfectly.
Our only minor disappointment was the bottled beer — we each ordered different ones (domestic, import, and cider), and none were quite cold enough to really enjoy. It seemed like most people were ordering draft beer, which made us wonder if those might be colder. Maybe adding a small beer-on-ice setup behind the bar could help with that.
Overall, we’ll definitely be back! We can’t wait to try the peel-and-eat shrimp — we saw what looked like 50 pounds of it leaving the kitchen during our visit, which tells you all you need to know!
