My friends and I had a reading party event at the National Portrait Gallery. It was SOOO cold, so we decided to stop here for some ramen. I have been to this place quite a few times in the past few years, and their Georgetown and the food are delicious.
Today I was craving the classic General Tso chicken and also got a Mai Tai to complement the yapping and gossiping with my friends. Both my friends got the signature lamen. For an appetizer, we got veggie house-made dumplings.
The food was delicious, per usual, and the drinks were as well. The service was speedy and attentive. Even though it is a small restuarant there is a fast turnaround for seating and eating. I like this spot and can’t help but stop here every time I am near Chinatown.

Ordered simple comfort food. Chengdu Dumplings were yummy with a sweet/savory taste, although a bit small. Smash cucumber is very fresh and made great cooling broth.
Although the restaurant was empty, they made me (single diner) sit in the high bar seats with another group, super uncomfortable.

Came for the Takoyaki, which was the best I have had since first falling in love with it in Japan. The Lamen was very good, I had the signature and the pork belly was soft and succulent, and the broth had a very rich flavor. My friend had the chicken lamen and said he loved it, especially the broth. Service was quick, and the food was superb and reasonably priced. No wonder this place was packed. If I lived nearby I’d frequent this place.

The ramen is the clear standout here—deep, savory broth, well-cooked noodles, and generous toppings. The beef is tender, the egg is spot-on, and the greens balance the richness nicely. This is the reason to come back.
The fried chicken is… okay. Crispy enough, but nothing memorable and not on the same level as the ramen. Fine as a side, just don’t order it expecting a highlight.

Me and my husband decided to have dinner here and it went amazing. We ordered beef ramen, noodles dan dan and spicy pork dumplings. Everything was amazing, the portions are very fulfilling and very flavorful. We didn’t even wait 5mins before getting our dinner served and it was rush time, incredible. I highly recommend coming here! It is quite small restaurant and I might suggest you reserve a table if you want to be sure to get a spot. The prices are just right for the portions you will get!

Came into this place randomly on a business trip and ordered the salt and pepper shrimp and mango bubble tea. The entree was too greasy and the batter too thick compared to the same entree I’ve had numerous times at other Chinese restaurants. The rice that came with it was excellent though. The mango bubble tea I ordered was the most disgusting thing I have tasted in a while. Taste like sugar water with a little bit of mango flavor but the boba was chalky and super stale, like biting into a clump of starch and not the texture of good boba. I took one sip and tossed it out at the first garbage can along the street. Service was quick and friendly though.

We came very late, so there weren’t many choices since most restaurants had already closed. This one stays open until 10:30 pm.
I like the cozy, family-style atmosphere. The place is small, but I enjoyed it. Even at almost 10 pm, there were still lots of people.
The food was good, and the service was great—the waitress recommended some noodles and explained the differences.
This restaurant is located right beside the Chinese Friendship Archway.
Note: Street parking is free after 10 pm.
