It really touches on all the best notes of a dining experience. The mystic begins as you take the elevator downstairs with a waterfall view like no other once you get in the dining room. The piano player is top notch in creating the experience as well. The service is welcoming and knowledgable and it’s all brought tougher with fantastic and tasty dishes and steaks. I was blown away away by the creative and well executed menu. The bone marrow dumplings and pork belly dishes really were extraordinary. We had a larger party and they had no problem helping us feel like a two top on a special occasion. All the steaks were wonderful, especially the ribeye. When the steaks arrive, they have you cut it open just to ensure that your temperature is correct, bravo. The accompaniments were fantastic. We all saved them for dessert and it did not disappoint. Please see the photos and now we will be back.

One of the best dinning experiences we have had in Dallas. Everything from the moment we stepped on the elevator till the moment we left was refined and wonderful. The beef wellington was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. And the cocktails were amazing. Their twist on an old fashion using tequila was so unique and good. The atmosphere and service was also the best. It was so cool to have the underground location. I strongly recommend trying dakotas for your next celebration.

Born and raised in Dallas, so this place is a MUST! If you’re in Downtown, I highly recommend stopping by. The drinks and food are amazing, and the servers and bartenders always make us feel at home.

We come often with my partner and my mother, and they truly know what we like, which makes every visit special. We will miss Jocelyn so much and are sad she isn’t here anymore. She was truly an amazing asset to this place. That said, we’re very happy to now have Kayla in the bar area. She’s been taking great care of us lately and we absolutely love her!

This was our second time here, but first in a few years. We had a nice table on the covered patio area close to the outside waterfall feature. Our dinner was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive. We both ordered filets that were cooked perfectly. My wife ordered the truffle butter and I ordered the Dakota’s steak sauce on the side. Both were unique and delicious. We tried the carrots and the risotto for sides and both were fantastic. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

My husband and I were celebrating our Anniversary and Dakota’s Steakhouse in Dallas did not disappoint. Our server Dameon J was very kind, knowledgeable and attentive. We had the filet mignon with the Mac and cheese and it was outstanding. You must try their pepper corn steak sauce! Definitely coming back. They say us by the waterfall and gave us desert so our night was special. 10/10 for sure!

10/10, will visit again when in town. Zachary C. was our server and the service was out of this world. I got the 14oz New York Strip, my mom got the 8oz Filet, and we shared sides of Asparagus, Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes. Our bill was under $200! Very reasonable for the quality of service and the quality of food, felt very welcomed and the ambiance was incredible. Server always felt right on time and we never went without what we needed. Like I said, we will be back when we’re in town next. If I could recommend anything I would definitely recommend the filet, my mother got hers medium rare and it was PERFECT. I ordered my NY strip medium and wished I’d gotten it cooler! Overall, I was very impressed with this restaurant and wish I could give more than 5 stars.

We celebrated New Year’s Eve at Dakota’s Steakhouse in downtown Dallas, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The restaurant itself is stunning—beautifully designed and tucked away in a unique subterranean setting.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and seated promptly for our reservation. Every staff member we encountered was welcoming, and our server, Abby, was attentive and personable throughout the evening.

I ordered the hickory-smoked prime rib, cooked perfectly to medium, and it was outstanding. Our entire party loved their entrées, and the shared sides—mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, asparagus, and creamed spinach—were all delicious.

If you’re looking for an elevated dining experience in Dallas, I highly recommend Dakota’s Steakhouse. It’s the perfect spot for a special occasion or an unforgettable night out.

Firstly, don’t worry about parking, complimentary Valet is here to save the day. Haven’t used it since I live a couple blocks away and can walk. I have been here multiple times for business dinners, dates, dinner with friends and it is always a delight. Gorgeous little underground area with a busy dining room and bar, and a much quiter area with this fountain/waterfall. Good food and very courteous upscale service. Not the best steakhouse in Dallas but one of the best restaurant experiences money can buy in DFW.

Hors d’oeuvres and presentation are comparable to Michelin recognized spots around the world. Apps selection is small but has all the steakhouse staples – the pork belly is my favorite and highly recommended. Salads and soups skipped this time but again staples are all there – the wedge and french onion soup are quite good and my go to. Mains were good and steak was cooked to perfection. Get their Beef Wellington if it hasn’t sold out! The tiramisu cheesecake is one of our favorites – light and delicious, perfect for 2. Recommend the Crystal Cactus if you want an amazingly refreshing and crisp margarita, otherwise stick to your full bodied Cabs to pair with your steak.

Dakota’s Steakhouse in downtown Dallas offers a dining experience that truly stands out. The water served here is among the best quality I’ve had in any restaurant, making a simple yet noticeable difference. The staff, including the managers, were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish.

The atmosphere at Dakota’s is unbeatable, ranking in my top 10 restaurant ambiences worldwide. The elegant and inviting setting creates the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal.

As for the food, it did not disappoint. I had the ribeye boneless, cooked to a perfect medium well, while my father enjoyed the filet, also cooked to perfection. Both dishes were flavorful and expertly prepared.

The only reason I’m giving Dakota’s Steakhouse four stars instead of five is due to the dessert, which didn’t quite match the high standards set by the rest of the meal. However, this is a minor drawback in an otherwise exceptional dining experience.

Overall, I highly recommend Dakota’s Steakhouse. Indulge in their offerings and enjoy the impeccable service and outstanding atmosphere.

Overall Rating: 4/10
– I have heard many good things about his place but recently I’ve heard repeating customers say that the quality and taste has gone down. Well the time I went, it wasn’t good.
– The duck pasta had a weird tart taste. I wasn’t a fan. The pasta was definitely undercooked.
– The beef Wellington was good but it was my first time having it so I get even compare it to see if it was the best ever. The steak was good. The sauce was decent.
– My favorite was actually the oyster Rockefeller it had lots of flavor.
– Brussel sprouts were too salty and way too wet.
– The service was okay. I would’ve appreciated if they told the drunk guy next to us to be quiet bc he definitely interrupted the ambiance.
