This is hands down one of the best breweries I’ve been to. The selection of beer was great and gives me something to look forward too in my nearest liquor store. The food here is amazing and some menu items have beer pairings that hit the spot. The beer flights a highly recommended as the variety of beer has something for everyone with different taste. The Pretzel was great, pizza was delicious and the Mac & cheese was to die for.
The merchandise section is a bit smaller but has some cool stuff that we could not ignore and had to come back for the next day.

This taproom is super cool and a great place to hang out. I like the bar side better but there are plenty of other seating options in the main dining area which is adjacent to the open kitchen design. The beer is 5 Star, I had the Pivo Pils. You cannot go wrong with that beer, especially at lunch. I had the Southwester salad and it was good, not great. I do think you got a pretty decent value for $18 and included some protein like chicken and had a nice few slices of avocado on the top. The dressing was ok, not great. All the ingredients for the salad were all top notch and fresh (arugula, tomatoes, some type of radish, grilled corn and black beans). Service help was very nice and friendly too. Overall, this is a must stop when passing through Paso Robles. This company has won many awards and know what they are doing.

The real feature here is the amazing beer list. However, the food is also good. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a large bar area. Parking can be a challenge on busy days. Even though this isn’t in the historic Paso Robles downtown, we always make it a point to swing by when we are in the area.

Pretty fun environment. They have a neat fake canning conveyor belt above the bar. The service was mixed. One guy was super friendly. Some others just seemed annoyed when questioned about the menu or about anything that took them away from whatever other errand they were doing.
The pretzel was decent but nothing special if you have ever had a giant soft pretzel before.
The burger was better but we were especially excited to try it because the menu mentioned some sort of fig jam spread but we couldn’t really taste that in there. Tasted pretty good but not as expected.
I will say though that I am becoming obsessed with the Cali Squeeze Blood Orange. Found out that it is a brewery that Firestone bought a while ago so the marketing is slightly different. Such a refreshing beer perfect for summer on the beach.

Visiting the Paso Robles brewery is an experience in itself. One of the coolest details is the conveyor system running overhead with cans moving through production. Watching beer literally travel above you while you sit in the taproom is a unique touch that makes the place feel alive and fully operational.
When we visited, the restaurant was about three quarters full and steady foot traffic kept coming in. It did feel slightly understaffed for the volume, but the bartenders and servers handled it well. Despite the pace, service never felt chaotic or careless. They managed the flow professionally, which says a lot.
The beer is exactly what you expect from Firestone Walker: fresh, clean, and consistently excellent. One of the biggest perks of going directly to the brewery is access to draft pours and bottled releases that do not make it out to other metropolitan areas. If you are into sours or stouts, you will be happy. Their core lineup is strong, and the rotating tap selection keeps things interesting. You can stick with the classics or try something new every visit.
Across the street, the Emporium is worth stopping into. If you are looking for branded merchandise, this is the place. They lean heavily into the 805 theme, but there is still a wide range of Firestone Walker gear and plenty of bottles, cans, and even kegs available to take home.
Overall, it is a great stop whether you are a casual beer drinker or someone who follows craft releases closely. Between the production visuals, rotating taps, and exclusive offerings, it is absolutely worth visiting when you are in Paso Robles.

We road tripped down from San Jose to Pismo in 2019 when I noticed Firestone Walker’s facility, not knowing they were headquartered in Paso Robles. We unfortunately didn’t get the opportunity to stop by then, but we made up for it this time! There was an abundance of seating around lunchtime on a Thursday. Great food and even better beer.

The food was excellent. The burger was my favorite. The hot chicken a close second. Tuna nachos were OK. The service was pretty clumsy. They brought us two baskets of extra fries which we didn’t order (did not include on the bill) which is fine but then we also had two extra drinks on the receipt and had to adjust after we noticed.

Especially for this area, this is a *gigantic* space. Expected, considering it is Firestone Walker. Also expect lots of superb drafts here. These folks are well-known, established, and have clear quality-control on their brewing process, tap lines, and everything. Naturally, you will find their flagship, 805, here. But you can get that literally everywhere. If you are stouthead or a sourhead, this better be one of your destination breweries. Their barrel-aged stouts are to die for and those wild ales are otherworldly. Bartender service was adequate, but felt like a place this big was missing a high-caliber barroom manager to help expedite things. It was a Sunday. Who knows, maybe their good one doesn’t work Sundays?

On my first trip to Paso Robles, I had to visit my favorite brewery, Firestone Walker. I decided to try something other than their classic 805, so I went with the 805 Cerveza Michelada and was not disappointed. It was exactly what I was in the mood for.
For my meal, I ordered the Tri-Tip Sando. The sandwich was a perfect size and generously filled with tri-tip. The toasted bread was perfectly crisp. I was excited for the fries, as the thin-cut fries I saw on other people’s plates looked delicious. However, when my order arrived, the fries appeared underdone and the container was only half full. It was a letdown, and I’m not sure why my serving was so small.
The service, though, was excellent. My server was a seasoned veteran who was very knowledgeable about all the beers on tap. Parking was also easy, with plenty of street parking available.
If you’re in the area, I recommend stopping by for a beer. To avoid the possibility of underdone fries, you might want to consider ordering a side salad or the steak fries instead.

This brewery is really nice. Service was extremely slow. Food was really good, but limited in vegetarian items. Beer was a bit pricey, but I’m from out of town. They kept running out of beers. They also have a gift shop. So, I bought some 805 merch.
I did enjoy their Michelada and it was really good & super impressed.
For 6 people with food and about 4 beers each the bill was over $300. We split it. So, I paid about $60. They did add gratuity.
