Bike Nite is our favorite time to visit. We’re always treated like family and there’s plenty of room to be comfortable while enjoying the live entertainment.

Real Texas BBQ that will satisfy everyone… the sides are good and the peach cobbler was amazing. Great drive to a venue that is worth the stop given the mesquite smoked meat is cooked for 18 to 22 hrs and the atmosphere is Texas to the core.

Texas Pride BBQ: A True BBQ Gem!

Texas Pride BBQ is everything you want in a classic Texas barbecue joint and more! From the moment you pull in, you’ll appreciate the ample parking and the charming, old-fashioned look of the place – it just feels right.

The menu is fantastic, offering a huge variety of options. Whether you’re looking for daily specials, a kids’ menu, meat combos, or even meat by the pound, they have it all. Their sides are phenomenal; I highly recommend the brisket and sausage, and definitely try some jalapeño poppers, cheesy potatoes, and cream corn.

What truly set this experience apart was the outstanding service. When I couldn’t decide between the peach, pecan, or cherry cobbler for dessert, the employee went above and beyond, offering me a full spoon sample of each! That’s what I call excellent service. Of course, I ended up getting all three with ice cream on the side – they were delicious.

The staff is friendly, fast, and incredibly patient and kind. I will 100% recommend Texas Pride BBQ to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious BBQ experience.

On Friday February 6th my family and I were traveling to San Antonio for a camping trip. I ran across this place when I was looking for a place to eat. It looked interesting and fun plus they had live entertainment. As a member of Good Sam this place was listed as an overnight stop so I inquired about staying overnight in our rv and making this an extended stop. Tony welcomed us and his staff was very accommodating. The food was excellent and the entertainment was enjoyable. My grandson enjoyed the swing set and slides that had in the play area. The atmosphere had a fun vide and the wait staff was very attentive. We really enjoyed our evening and our stay so much so that we marked this spot as a most stop everytime we pass through San Antonio. Thank you Tony for allowing us to stay overnight in our Rv.

Off of the beaten path. Plenty of parking. The rustic building and memorabilia is impressive. Alot of seating options and a nice long bar. We were excited to try this place after years of passing by on closed days (Mondays and Tuesday). I was sadly disappointed by the dry sausage and bland ribs. The brisket was delicious. The green beans were luke warm, the cheesy potatoe casserole were okay. The Mac n Cheese wasn’t ready, I asked how long and just got ignored. I didn’t complain cause felt like they were already having a bad start. It was 11am. The friendly customer service I read reviews about just wasn’t present today. Hope their day gets better.

The atmosphere is great, although we haven’t visited for any live shows or events, just to eat. The meat is great. However, you don’t get a lot for the cost. Also; we were not that impressed with their selection for sides. We live close by so would come back when out of state family visits to give them a taste of Texas BBQ.

This was my second visit here. We arrived on Sunday after 4pm and the restaurant closes at 7pm. When we walked in, no one welcomed us, no friendly hello or welcome. We ordered Sunday special brisket sandwich with chips and drink and turkey with 2 sides. We both agreed the food was not great, my turkey was not warm. Neither of the meats we ordered smelled like mesquite or BBQ. For example, when I reheat my BBQ in a microwave, the whole building can smell the mesquite from the BBQ. The Cheetos that were served with the brisket combo was a small 1 oz bag that you would buy as a snack portion from HEB. I wanted a soda but the selection was limited and they did not have fountain drinks. So we ordered tea. As I was pouring our tea, both containers were out. I had to bend the container over to get the last drops. Two employees walked by but did not bother checking. There was also food crumbs on the table next to us where we were eating at. And the cashier’s display ask for a tip, even though you are not served and obviously the sweet tea and crumbs are not tended to. It was slow business but that should be more reason to check on everything. The atmosphere looks nice. I see some pictures of the entertainment and it looks fun. But we will not be coming back here again for dining. My company stated the Bill Miller’s (fast food) was better for comparison. I asked an employee where they cook the meat, and he told me out back at night. One more comparison, different type of restaurant. Dos Jalisco’s, food is hot, good, big to go cups with sweet team and refills by the waiters, and friendly staff. This is where I rather spend my hard earned and limited money.

Texas Pride BBQ in Adkins, Texas is always spot-on — their BBQ is so delicious and savory. The assortment of sides is fantastic, and my personal favorite is the cheesy potatoes. The BBQ sausage and turkey are fantastic as well. The location itself is a true landmark for Adkins, with an eclectic, southern decorative style that makes it feel warm and inviting. The employees are always kind and welcoming. Definitely my go-to spot when the family is craving fantastic BBQ.

Brisket – Great.
Smoked Turkey – Fantastic.
Cream Corn – Good.
Coleslaw – Mayo base with I think vinegar? Bad. But everyone has different taste.
Sweet Tea – Good.
First time there, didn’t know that there’s a full bar or may have had something different. Did ask if they had De-negro Medelo and of course they didn’t. Didn’t use the restroom. Very clean order area and dining room. Got some big names like Mo Bandy coming, didn’t know the others. But I don’t think one wouldn’t be upset if you visit to eat or have a drink or two. Enjoy.
