The waiters were smartly dressed, quick and polite. And the chefs were so delightful to watch.
The food was good and fun to prepare gave us an amazing time . There are wide variety of food options to choose from, be mindful of the prices when choosing.
They are conscious of food allergies! Big plus
Try and make a reservation because it can be very busy most times. Hibachi is 90mins time allow which can be stretched a little.
Free on Mondays and Tuesdays for kids.
We opted for the hibachi experience . I ordered chicken and shrimp, my child had chicken and steak, and my husband got the filet and shrimp. They accommodated us perfectly, giving us a spot where the stroller wouldn’t be in anyone’s way.
The staff was so friendly and attentive . our waiter constantly checked in, refilled drinks, and kept the table clean and organized. Even on a busy Saturday night, the service was excellent.
The hibachi chef was funny and engaging, keeping everyone entertained. We even made friends with the people seated at our table and ended up celebrating both of our kids’ birthdays together!
What really touched me was how the staff treated everyone like family. At a nearby table, a little girl missed her birthday song because she was in the restroom. Without anyone asking, the staff came back and sang happy birthday to her again just to make her smile . that meant so much, even to us as strangers watching.
The food portions were huge – soup, salad, and our main hibachi plates. Everything was delicious, and we had enough leftovers for another meal the next day!
Overall, it’s a wonderful, family-friendly environment with great food and even better service. We’ll definitely be coming back and supporting this place again!
This place essentially stops honoring reservations depending on the circumstances. I recently had a 7:00 reservation for a party of 5. I checked in just before 7. I was told to wait about 30 minutes to ready the table. 30 minutes later it was not ready and I was advised to wait another 15. We did, and it was still not ready. We left after about an hour of waiting without being seated extremely disappointed and forced to try our luck elsewhere. This basically ruined our plans for the evening.
Then there is the atmosphere. It used to be very quiet and culturally oriented. But now there is no backstop to this place being a “family” restaurant. Expect about as many screeching toddlers at this place as your closest theme park.
And this is coming from a previously loyal customer who for years had described this place as one of my favorite restaurants and even left a 5 star review a few years ago. Now I seriously contemplate whether it is worth returning.
What made it worse was the way the situation was handled. The “manager” argued with us when we tried to express our concerns about the long wait instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally. Some of our guests who came all the way from Jersey City ended up leaving because it got too late.
By the time we were finally seated, the restaurant was closing, and we were the last people there. While the food itself was okay, the poor organization and customer service overshadowed everything. Very disappointing experience.
If you do happen to to ask for Josh and Ben as your chefs .
When the chef finally came out, he made me uncomfortable with a comment saying, “Oh we already know she has a big mouth,” as an excuse for skipping the usual veggie toss. Totally uncalled for.
The saving grace was the food—it was really good. So while the service and experience were disappointing, we might give it another shot just for the food.
