Sonny’s has been serving generations at the same location for over 64 years. Originally a baker in Philadelphia, “Sonny”, Sam Nigro, migrated to Florida and opened “Sonny’s Sandwich Shop”. Though many years have passed our quality and traditions have remained the same. One of the reasons that we believe our customers keep returning is that we take pride in everything we serve. We make and bake our bread daily from scratch, we make our own sauce, slice boneless rib eye steak for our steak hogies, make our meatballs from our own recipe and serve our salads with homemade dressings. We have been told our garlic rolls are to die for!

The food was fine. I ordered a steak with onions and mushrooms plus cheese sauce. I guess I should’ve looked at the menu beforehand. Because a single Michelob ultra is six dollars I ordered two of them without knowing the price thinking hey it’s Mick ultra it’ll be three or four bucks. When I saw $12 for two beers, I got a bit upset because I could’ve bought a six pack for less honestly felt a bit ripped off.

What in the world is this? Unsalted and Unseasoned CHEAP meat, a soggy wet hoagie, and no extra cheese even though I paid for it. Calling this a Philly cheesesteak is a joke and disrespect to Philly. Never again.

Whenever I am in the area, I have to make a stop here. I will go out of my way to eat here. I have had quite a few things from the menu, and everything has been consistently great . I highly recommend this place. Staff is awesome and friendly . Cash only, so be mindful of that. If you don’t have cash, there is a convenience store in the same plaza that charges fees for getting cash, and it is worth it to me to eat here. The food is excellent.

I give it 2 stars, but if I could I’d give it 2.5 stars, the cheesesteak was way too juicy with fat juices, it made the roll split in half. If you’re from Philly you should be using a good roll that can handle your sandwich! It wasn’t that great, I am from Philly & these cheese steaks suck compared to a real Philly! I would rather go to Sub Center, they have a great roll & they have great Philly’s!!
