I don’t know if my most recent experience was a one off or if the food has gone down hill. The staff was wonderful and helpful though. My husband enjoyed his food. I ordered the avocado toast which was good but the toast was unevenly toasted (burnt on top and soft on the lower half), the eggs had no flavor and the hash browns were undercooked.

Food was on the low-side of average for diner fare. It took the kitchen a long time to make our meals, and although some food was fine, there were some bad outliers. One biscuit was raw in the middle, and one order of chicken fried steak tasted off (especially when compared to another order the table received). We got it refunded, but it shouldn’t have been served in the first place (the meat tasted old, and the dish was cold like it had been sitting around). I would not recommend this location.

My boyfriend and I have been to a handful of Black Bear Diners in multiple states. This is our first in Utah. Sadly, we were disappointed. There was hardly anyone at the restaurant. We weren’t greeted when we walked in and it took some time for them to sit us. Like I said, hardly anyone dining, and they put us way in the corner next to the kitchen, with a broom and dustpan. I always look forward to the hot chocolate, but it was watery here. My boyfriend liked the coffee though. As for our food, I ordered the waffles and enjoyed it, but it’s difficult to mess up on waffles. My boyfriend ordered the steak and eggs, and didn’t enjoy it. He said the steak wasn’t cooked well and the potatoes were a little hard.

I order doordash delivery from this location every Sunday for my grandpa. I have been doing this since my grandma died in 2020. He loves the sausage patties. My order is often wrong. Sometimes, I’m missing items, and sometimes, they send an incorrect order. I understand that with delivery, this can happen. I have overlooked the issues. Today, my french toast came with mold on it. This is not something I can overlook. I would recommend buying from somewhere else.

The food here is absolutely better than any aspect of the restaurant. The decor is still above where I would consider the service-level needing to be but this place has some killer pancakes and delicious sausage and bacon. I suspect our server was newer as she seemed a little bit more stressed than others so I tried not to hold it against her or the establishment. Will definitely be going back!

I would like to say that I love some homemade style food. Exactly how I would describe the food and setting at this establishment. I wonder what makes restaurants pick between Coke products or Pepsi products? These guys have Pepsi products though. We finished everything but the meatloaf. Not because it wasn’t good, but because they are generous with the portions. Our waiter was a nervous young man who did perfect in his duties. I always wish I could give more money for tips, therefore I stick to the traditional 15 percent usually. With the customer service excellent and the food amazing, you can also leave with a souvenir of your choice. Great job you working bears!!!

I am very disappointed with the food I ordered in this restaurant, the pancake was cold to the point that the butter I put on it didn’t even melt, the hashbrown was cold as well and the eggs benedict were overcooked and cold too. I was not happy with that breakfast and I was hungry since I could not eat it in its entirety because it was cold and unpleasant to palate. I was very surprised to see that because I have come to this restaurant on previous occasions and the food has always been very good, I don’t know what happened today. I hope the Manager can see this review and take action on the matter. Thank you
