Great place, staff are attentive, and the food is really good. The coconut French toast (second pic) is THE BEST I ever had.

I Loved the Peabody Diner! I had the Ruben sandwich with chips- I will say that sadly I did not get a pic of it, it was THAT good! I had coffee to drink and it was pretty good!!
The atmosphere is just what I was hoping for, quaint, locals coming in for lunch as well. Their prices are terrific, especially in a more torist-y area.
The menu had a nice selection of breakfast foods as well as lunch foods.
The restroom was nice and clean and was not dirty or stinky.
I will say tho, they only serve breakfast and lunch, so stop in early for this hidden jem in the hustle and bustle of tourists!
My hats off the Peabody Diner and I would absolutely have to say this is a
****HIGHLY RECOMMENDED****
Stop while in the area- which happens to be right on the Salem line

The Diner is in a spacious storefront room with lots of windows. It has table service or a bar to sit at. The menu is full of options for its breakfast and other fare. The food arrived in surprisingly fast time. The food was an ample size (im not a fan of servings big enough for three people). and tasteful. It was a comfortable environment.

Recently visited The Peabody Diner, which has been voted the best in 2024 and 2025 — and it’s easy to see why! It’s a great spot with a solid breakfast selection. We tried the veggie omelette and blueberry pancakes — both were fresh, tasty, and served in generous portions.
It was a bit noisy and crowded for my personal taste, especially during peak hours, but that’s part of its popularity. Parking can also be a bit tricky due to how busy it gets. That said, if you’re looking for a classic, lively breakfast spot, it’s definitely worth checking out.

This is the place to go, if you want that good breakfast. not too far from Salem Center, but just far enough to escape the tourist traps. very relaxed atmosphere. you can grab a table, or if you’re lucky, find a stool and belly up to the bar. As soon as I walked in, the smell of hashbrowns and pancakes told me everything I needed to know. This place must be a locally guarded treasure, and for good reason.

My wife and I enjoyed our lunch today — she had blueberry pancakes and I had a cheeseburger with fries. The food and atmosphere was fine. I was surprised that the servers didn’t clear away the plates from the table when it was clear that we were finished eating from them — even though they came to the table a few times as we were finishing up. That was my only minor complaint.

We usually love this place, but a couple of recent issues, one of which I’ve never seen any restaurant charge. I had the chicken salad sandwich. Asked for cheese, charged $1.00, and asked for a side of mayonnaise to put on my bread and was charged .50. Not much at all, but what restaurant charges you for mayo or any condiment?? Odd. Next it will be napkins, lol.
Also, the chicken salad had all mayo hardly any chicken, no flavor.
Prices have gone up here. Nice people, but disappointed in the food recently.
