Johnny’s is a trip back to 1979! Had more fun dancing here than any other club I’ve ever been to. Great atmosphere, just gotta lean into it!

I had a fantastic night for my first time visiting Johnny’s Hideaway!! I’m disappointed to see some of the more negative reviews, I can’t say I experienced anything unpleasant, but I can’t deny it may happen to others. I’d still recommend Johnny’s for a fun night out dancing to some classics and watching people have a great time; the drinks were nice and strong, the set was bumpin, and the disco ball was shining! The women’s bathroom stalls are a little on the small side but they were fairly clean even later in the night. We don’t get food, but I’ll definitely be back to try some.

Its a bar. It has a great dj. Its a bit of a hole in the wall. 1st margarita was not good. 2nd one was great. It is what it is. Atmosphere was super cool…like a 70s night club/disco vibe. Waitress was salty, but i think that was a bit. She was fun 🙂

Nice atmosphere and experience overall but can management please explain why you so vehemently enforce not capturing any videos of the establishment on you phone? I took a 10 second snippet of the dance floor and immediately had a bouncer approach me and say that was absolutely not allowed. What is up with that draconian policy?

Multiple of my white friends have spoken up for me about how they treat me or spoken about how they treat brown & black people at this bar ! I have multiple witnesses
If you are brown or black & respectful and love to have a good time beware of this bar , it may not happen on your first encounter or your second or even your third but they eventually will definitely try you, disrespect you or over police you, as well as people who look like you ! The staff here and are very rude ! Again Multiple of my white friends have spoken up ! Ive literally had drinks that were paid for Thrown out immediately after we paid for our tab and we weren’t even drunk just because we went to dance floor for a second to dance, Im an Observant person! They purposely ignore “certain” people when they are trying to order, the security circles around people of color of the dance floor ! when entering They lie on the pricing then when you get to the counter to get in they change the pricing ! A lot of sexual assault happens here thats been noticed ! and even assault from security guards many people have spoken against them for this as well ! The bathrooms are unclean as well as the kitchen! Only a certain kind of people are featured on the screens here ! This is the most rude place I’ve been to in atlanta ! Very upsetting they do not value their customers even after they supported them Countless times ! Ive seen them even lie on people due to disagreements and if there is a police on duty here best believe they will take the staffs side even if they assault you or throw you out over false claims because of a disagreement with the staff or anything!

Incredibly pompous for their pretentious dress code as if they’re not exactly what you think you can walk into with casual clothes. Had 30+ friends already inside after a conference. Our friend had athleisure pants on and was turned away. Mind you, we came straight from a high end restaurant in a private dining room where he had no issues. Understood it’s a private establishment with a set dress code (which again, wouldn’t think to check for given what their pics look like and we drove 20 min for), but it’s the way the manager spoke that was most upsetting. One of the rudest encounters we’ve experienced in years, and we travel often. We left with him bc we do not support business owners like that.

If you are looking for a fun night with your friends, definitely go check this place out. They have been around for quite sometime so they are definitely not a ” Hideaway” anymore because a lot of people know about this best kept secret place.

If you go on the weekend, be prepared for a packed house. It will be extremely crowded on the dance floor so if you like your own personal space, this is not your jam. Go on the week days instead. Also, parking is pretty bad so pay and valet park. Trust me it will make your life easier or consider Uber.

Definitely go there if you love a mosh pit style dance vibe. The crowd is usually fun.

Kevin, “the manager” is a disrespectful childish jerk. Asked him a question about parking and got defensive, angry, and irate. Started to say I’ve never seen you so I don’t believe you and I believe my valet which wasn’t the point but he used the opportunity to lie. Went to Valet to clean up the issue, prove him wrong, and continued to be aggressive and scream like a child. He then proceeded to yell at women and threaten them. What kind of management training is this. Then he proceeded to say I have issues yet he is the manager not managing a problem and yelling at women over what exactly? Needs therapy… and didn’t make eye contact or resolve the issue the entire night. Thought he was going to beat me up and would need to call the cops. Heard another women tell the tall black bartender you don’t need to yell at me and he snapped quick too. Won’t be back, better service elsewhere and music stops at 2am – it’s a joke with rude people. Not to mention it smells like a bathroom that hasnt been flushed and probably loves Trump at the way they treat their customers. Stay away

*To the owner – you did not acknowledge your manager and his rude behavior. And my valet issue was the dude asked for money but said I can’t park your car bc I’m leaving. So why are you taking my money???? And then your manager came inside yelling like a lunatic about how we are lying. Y’all insane. Including you for avoiding the actual concern of my entire review and deflecting to something that I didn’t not even state but like your manager you presumed vs trying to understand. Thematic. Crazy.

Came here based on a recommendation, and they were right, it’s COOL! Definitely has a dive feel, but it’s truly vintage with the decor and music the dj plays all night (70s,80s,90s). We were told to get there early, glad we did, we got a table for 5, the place gets PACKED! Our server was amazing, I don’t recall her name but she’s in the photo. The wings were awesome, especially the lemon pepper, as well as the potato skins! Fun night out, Definitely a must checkout if you love that 70s 80s sound and a mature crowd. Side note, they don’t allow graphic tees, but you can wear plain ts and sneakers and baseball caps, weird.. but all good.

The rudest dance floor i have very been to. You are fighting everyone just to stand in your own little bubble. I’ve been to plenty of crowded dance floors before but this is the by far the most terrible one. No one respects their space and its a constant battle to not be shoved every which way. They need to either cap their numbers way more or have a bigger dance floor.
