Great food. Use to meet my husband here for lunch a couple times a week before we retired. We always knew we could get in and have a good lunch and still make it back to work on time. Staff were all wonderful. Yes I know they are closed. That is why I said before I retired. It was still a great place to eat at the time.

The hush puppies are one of a kind they reminded me of Mexican cornbread in a way!

Seafood platter upgrades to grouper but hush puppies not available. Locals came for the Gumbo without rice because it’s worth the weight in gold. Gumbo was amazing. I am all in on the grouper despite not being a fan of fried food. Kids finished their meals because it was good as well. Top shelf Long Island was a success. Back to Sioux Falls with their gumbo, orange cake in tow because we can’t leave without another taste!,

The place is nice, the service is decent but the food is not good.
We had the blackened grilled grouper, grilled flounder, smoked tuna dip and some sides.
In general the food is brutally seasoned, too salty so it’s very hard to taste the fish.
The sides tasted canned and the greens side was watery and tasteless.
On the bright side the portions are big but why would anyone want big portions of food that doesn’t taste good?

Ate lunch here today, sat at the bar, Avery was the bartender. She was very friendly and even recommended a small bowl of gumbo, it was delicious! I ordered the catfish platter and onion rings. It comes out hot and fresh from the kitchen! Everything was delicious, it’s a generous portion.

This was our first time here, and we loved it. We will be back. The prices are reasonable and you know the seafood is fresh because it’s Joe Patti’s. We have always gone to the market and bought our seafood but we decided to try the restaurant. We’re so glad we did. Not too crowded, people were nice, the staff was great, and the bathrooms were beautifully decorated and clean. We will be back.

Decided to give this place another chance due to friends wanting to eat there. Night and day difference between first experience and this one. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was phenomenal and the manager was very friendly and kind. The seafood platter number 2 had 10 very big butterfly shrimp, 3 large pieces of fish with a couple hush puppies with fries and broccoli. We were very impressed and will return again. Didn’t take pictures my second time though.

Hugely disappointing experience. We love the seafood store and had huge expectations that this would be awesome but it wasn’t, in fact it really wasn’t even good. The grilled shrimp had some sesame sauce on them that was horrible. The fried shrimp were not peeled far enough to the tail so when you went to pop the tail off there was still shell on the shrimp. The breading on the fried shrimp was very light and without flavor. The baked beans were not good and the fries were very bland it seems like they could season them some. Also leaving the parking lot there is a big drop off which you’ll bottom out most sedans.

I’ve heard people describe this place as a well loved locals favorite that is certainly not fancy but has the best seafood gumbo you’ve ever had!

From sandwiches to amazing Hush puppies to huge dinner platters, this WAS a great “locals spot” that has been at this location since 2020. Always a full crowd. So plan to wait 5-10 min for a seat. But food comes out lightning quick and is available grilled, blackened or fried.

Fantastic grouper sandwich! Great cole slaw. Even had a bowl of gumbo. It was like a hearty stew gumbo. Tasty! Service was nice and friendly but could have used a drink refill.
