Eggplant Parmigiana – Generous portion, but the texture leaned soft and the sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. Not bad, just not their strongest dish.
Burger with Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato – Solid and satisfying. The bacon was crisp, the patty juicy, and the bun held up well. Fries were classic tavern-style–crispy and plentiful.
Service & Vibe: Friendly staff and a cozy, old-school tavern feel. It’s a popular spot, so expect a crowd during peak hours. The horse on the roof is still iconic.
Final Take: Kinchley’s shines brightest with its pizza. If you’re venturing beyond the pie, expect decent comfort food–but next time, I’ll stick with their signature thin crust. And don’t forget: cash only.
Our waitress was so nice to recommend we go with 1 large pie and split half/half vs getting 2 smalls.
We came around 12 PM on a Saturday and within 10-15 mins, the place filled up!
The restaurant is very busy throughout the day, and the service is fast.
I highly recommend trying their pizza. You will be impressed.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the waitress who was initially helping me was incredibly sweet, patient, and accommodating—especially since I was dining with my three-year-old son. We were having a very pleasant meal.
Unfortunately, the experience took a sharp turn when another waitress, Courtney, approached my table. She was extremely rude, made me feel uncomfortable, and completely disrupted what had been a nice, calm dinner with my child. Her behavior was so inappropriate that I felt forced to pack up our food and leave. When I addressed how rude she was being, she laughed in my face, which was honestly shocking and upsetting.
I want to note that the manager handled the situation very well once he became aware of it, and I truly appreciated how professionally he responded. That said, it’s very disappointing that a single employee’s behavior could overshadow an otherwise great experience and make a paying customer—especially one with a young child—feel so unwelcome.
I’m disappointed because I don’t live nearby and made the effort to come here specifically to try this restaurant, only to leave feeling uncomfortable and upset. I really wish my first impression hadn’t been ruined by this interaction, because the food and the rest of the staff were wonderful.
