Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I went to What-a-burger today around 11:30 AM. The wait time was next to nothing. The service was amazing. Honestly, I had a smile on my face from the sweet lady running the intercom all the way until another sweet lady handed me my food with a lovely smile on her face. Both ladies were just the sweetest. Already my experience was wonderful just from the customer service. They could have handed me a completely wrong order and I would have still enjoyed my visit. But to my surprise, the food was SO good. My number 4 combo looked like it had just had a photoshoot done for a commercial. Fries=hot and fresh. Burger= super neat, still hot, and fresh. Somebody’s mama was whipping it up back there making my food with love. Even my diet coke was CRISP. Anyways, the staff during this time needs a raise because that was truly the best fast food experience I’ve had in a very long time.

The workers were great and there was someone cleaning which is amazing in itself, I loved that. The service was exceptional shelby was so awesome but the food wasn’t great. I got a bacon burger and for some reason it just didn’t taste all that good. Maybe next time

We stopped here to get some lunch after driving 3 hours on our way to the beach. The inside was definitely busy as was the drive through. They took orders pretty quickly, however we waited 20 minutes on our food and then the burgers were cold and not fresh at all. If I’m going to wait that long at a supposed fast food place my food needs to be hot. There were alot of people waiting on food for way too long. One lady was pretty mad at how long it took to get food, then the manager came to talk to her; I was shocked that she blamed the slow food distribution on another cashier she said “had a smart mouth”. What? Why do you speak badly about your workers just to placate a customer who is valid in asking why it’s taking so long to make food? It’s awful for a manager to do this. Anyway, our food was ok, fries kinda hot, burger cold and dried up. The fountain drink was the best part of our meal.

We stopped in for a bite on our way home from Florida. I ordered via the app in advance around 2PM for curbside and the estimated delivery time was 2:10-2:13. At 2:36, our food finally came out. Upon further inspection, half the order was wrong. I grabbed the two sandwiches and went inside. I stood for at least 5 minutes at the counter while 10 employees completely avoided eye contact and carried on goofing off in little groups like middle schoolers. I finally had to announce very loudly that I needed assistance with my order. Several people in line for the counter were very frustrated that I got attention ahead of them, but we had now waited 40 minutes for our food. If you are traveling, drive right past this place and go to McDonalds or something up the road. It’s a complete joke and the management staff is ridiculous and just wants to have playtime with the employees. We come through this area once a month and they’ll never get another penny out of our family.

Listen the food taste good but they charged me for a meal and never gave me my fry also! I asked for no mayo or mustard on my number 1 they added mayo the girl at the window was nice I’m just saying coming from a person who works in fast paste restaurants there really no reason for this to happen especially when the place is slow.

Wouldn’t know how the food taste, never actually got a chance to eat it. Have been there two times and have waited 25 minutes both times before driving off, last time not one single car received food. Was there at 4:15, so not exactly the dinner rush. Would not waste my time unless you have an hour to kill.

Seems like everytime you go there in the evening and at night something is wrong with the order. You tell them time after time I’m allergic and still have to check my food. The workers make sure their fries are hot and their food is always on point and they get discounted price food, Which is crazy because we’re the ones paying full price and it’s never what we ordered. Cold fries and mushy tomatoes and soggy lettuce I’d rather cook at home.. the only crew that seems to know how to do their job is the morning crew

Dine in was open and staffed thank goodness. Stopped here on our way back to Alabama. The gentleman that waited on us was very pleasant and polite. Not too long of a wait to get our food, fresh and hot. Everything tasted pretty good however the sandwiches were very ugly and almost made me want to not take pictures for the review. But looks can and was deceiving because everything was delicious.

This is the dirtiest WB I have ever been to. The floor had not been cleaned in a while and multiple tables needed to be wiped done. They “didn’t have any trays” so our dine in order came in a bag. They also don’t have table numbers so they were just hollering out names.
