What a fantastic dinner at Max & Erma’s in Monroeville PA. I had the fish n chips dinner and it did not disappoint. Our server was Caleigh very good waitress, very good service, very attentive. They used a cod that was truly excellent. We had stopped going there for years because of poor service and the fish was more like Gordon’s frozen fish filet. We just happen to be in the area and thought we’d give it another and believe me, they totally redeemed themselves. Great job to everyone there. They must’ve got a new cook because this one knew how to cook.

Cool place, great service. Food is top notch. Maybe not America’s best burger, but a damn good burger. Fish and chips is amazing, and the fried shrimp boat is a definite win.

Food was pretty good and portion sizes were great for what you pay. For sure get your moneys worth. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the hangover burger. His burger was good but a bit messy! Our server was extremely nice and attentive to our table. Would gladly come here again!

Austin was our server and he did an amazing job with our group. We had some parents and hockey players. Austin provided service that went above and beyond. He was very friendly and personable and made superb recommendations on the menu. The warm cookies a delicious treat at the end of our meal. Everyone was able to find something they wanted to eat and the food came out quickly. We enjoyed our visit and if we come back to the area we will visit again.

Excellent service. Got my a hot fresh reuben and fries in minutes after my order.
Seats are well used. Could use a once over, as this location gets alot of traffic and my first seat had a lingering odor.

Hubby and I wanted lunch so we went to Max & Emma’s on a Sunday. Parking is always plentiful so we didn’t have a problem with that.
It was a little crowded but since it was only us 2 we didn’t have to wait. The service was great, our waitress was very attentive.
We ordered the potato skins with the bacon on the side since I don’t eat pork. They were so good. Love how they kept it original and not tried to overdo it.
For the drink I got mama not a break I believe but it was delicious .
Entrees: my husband got the chicken tenders which were so fresh. I got the salmon which was seasoned to perfection. The baked potato was sooo good and big so I couldn’t finish it all.
We would be back for sure ☺️

My food was awful. My salmon was dry, extra fishy and cold. The steamed broccoli was a mix of rubbery and rock hard and cold as well. The rice pilaf had a hard crust on the top of it and was cold as well. The nachos were lacking flavor and just disappointing the whole way around. The side salad was okay but was a bit soggy. The rest of our group did seem to enjoy their burgers/sandwiches and endless french fries.
That being said, the service was awesome and the restaurant was clean and well kept. Ample seating and no wait time. We did arrive at 5:15pm so I am sure that helped with us being sat so quickly. The food did come out quickly.
The manager did remove my salmon from the bill since I only ate a bites of it and the rice pilaf. The broccoli was left untouched.
The best part of the meal were the free chocolate chip cookies for free cookie Wednesdays! They were fresh from the oven and werenwarm, gooey and delicious.

I ordered the Cubano sandwich, with pulled pork that had the oddest taste and texture. I can’t describe it really ruined the sandwich. Are the other food and our service was great. Wish I’d ordered something else.
