We stopped in at Taverna in Bayview and were blown away! The food tasted just like something you’d find in a tucked-away Italian village. The lasagna was rich and comforting, the spicy pasta had the perfect kick, and the pizza was a huge hit with the kids — thin crust, perfectly baked, and full of flavor. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the staff was friendly without rushing us. You can tell they care about quality and presentation. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Great food and beautiful atmosphere. We had a reservation at 6:00 p.m. on a Friday and they were out of some things. Also, we were never brought bread and the server said that they only gave it out when they had an abundance of it. Overall it was a good experience and good food. We will come back.

Had a nice date night out. They have a lovely patio. Nice decor too. The patio is dog friendly. Our waitress was ok. I asked some questions about the menu and she didn’t know. Food was good. Pretty rich and large servings. I loved their Huckleberry lemonade. The food was well worth the price. We had a nice time. Plenty of parking. Oh! I forgot the bread! Their bread was AMAZING!

Went in tonight with my girlfriend to celebrate our 7 months. I was excepting a nice fancy restaurant. It was a far cry from that. You could tell of course they tried to dress it up as a nice. But it’s done very cheaply. The baskets on the wall still had the plastic tie hanging off it that the tag was attached to. The bottle of water they leave on the table to refill your glass was plastic and still had the tag on the bottom. I felt it was more like a bar than a nice restaurant. Our waitress was dressed like a bar tender, jeans, tank top and slippers. Not at all what you’d expect. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and unfortunately they were so salty you could hardly eat them. The Caesar salad was ok but lacking flavor. However I will say my main dish was absolutely great. The fried chicken was done well and the garlic cream sauce was on point and they had to have topped it with at least 8oz of mushrooms. Sadly we do not intend to go back. And finally buyer beware they charge extra to run a card. I didn’t see a sign anyway saying that nor is it listed on the website or on open table where I made my reservation.

Had our first experience of Taverna last night and could not have been more impressed. The entire staff was welcoming and attentive. The food was out of this world, I can’t have dairy and was so happy when I saw the dairy free option on the menu (honestly has to be the best thing on the menu, I devoured it). We were there for a bday party and the birthday girl can’t have eggs and the chef went out of his way this week to learn how to make pasta egg free for her before our reservation, unbelievable level of service and care.

YES CHEF! I left this place fat and happy. Their service was amazing. Everyone was so nice and attentive. This was the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had! The ambiance is so relaxing and very family friendly vibes. I’m definitely coming back to try more.

First time, it’s been on our list… Food great! Bruschetta fresh and tasty. The halibut was delicious. Pineapple margarita special was amazing. Dessert, huckleberry cheesecake seemed like it had been in the fridge for a few days, good but not great. We sat out back, nice spot – busy afternoon in Bayview with lots going on around the dining area. We will be back with friends soon – nice to have a new spot to visit!

The first time we went here it was a nice surprise. Food and service were great. Second time, not so much. The server couldn’t be bothered to bring bread. We asked her if we could sit at a different table and was told it was reserved although no one was there but a couple of tables the entire time. The biggest let down was changing the menu. The two dishes we had the first time we were there were longer on the menu. Now they serve a boring shrimp dish and some kind of Ty style dish in stead. Hmmm what happened to Italian? The ravioli appetizer is the only thing worth going back for and with the way they change this menu it will likely be gone soon too. Too bad, I had high hopes for this place!

A must for a kidless datenight or a family fun pizza day.
The staff is amazing; very attentive and attention to every little detail!
We have dined there 3 times now you can not go wrong.

Drinks: Nice wine list, wonderful espresso martini, spicy margarita….Great variety.

We have had the crab cakes, halibut, steak, thai pizza, chicken piccata, bolognese (kids loved)

What a gem added to Bayview! We will be regulars! Go check out this beautiful and cozy place over winter!
