We’ve driven by so many time and never stopped? I’m now asking myself why. We’ve been to all other spots near it. I Assumed it was more of a bar than restaurant because from out front it looks so small compared to all the places around it and well it says saloon Ha. Yeah, yeah o should’ve done by Yelp research. I’ll be better; scouts honor. We had a hard time finding somewhere to park. Area is packed, but we finally found one and went inside. It was actually so nice onside. Full bar, booths as well as high tops. Sears were comfy. Our waitress came over quickly, was so friendly and took our drink order. I was instantly bummed when I was told they carry no sour beers on tap or canned. Next I asked about ciders which is my close second. I was then told they only offer Angry Orchard in a bottle so I settled. Bummer. We ordered a different beer on tap as well and she gave us some time to look over the menu. I knew fairly quick I’d have the Chicago dog. I had been craving one and hadn’t had one in forever. I opted for side salad instead of fries. I’m glad I did and I’ll explain later. My husband ordered an Italian beef with fries. Our drinks came out soon with some ice water as well. They were fairly busy but we still had our food pretty quick. Everything looked delicious except the fries. At first I thought they were sweet potato fries but nope they just were maybe cooked in old oil? I dont know, but they weren’t very good according to my husband. I agree as I tried one. The sandwich, hot dog and salad were delicious. Lettuce crispy, toppings good and my Chicago dog so many toppings. Yum. I asked for another angry orchard and she unfortunately came back to let me know it was the last one. Our server stated not many people order it so they don’t carry a huge stock. That stinks for those of us who hate typically beer or expensive mixed drinks. I wish they’d at least add a sour or something on tap because I’d really like to come here more often. I’d come again.

Our 1st time visit this restaurant. Food was excellent. Restaurant was very busy. But Melissa our waitress was very attentive, kept checking on us. Didn’t try to rush when we couldn’t decide on what to order. When we decide on the mushroom burger she indicated it was her favorite. She made us feel like regulars on our 1st visit. Will definitely go back

The Moon Saloon is clearly well run. It’s exceptionally clean, the pizza (!) is fantastic, and the service was excellent. Exceeded all expectations for a neighborhood bar. Rylee and Alexis are personable and a JOY to be around – even after I broke a glass.

As a huge Chicago Bears fan, The Moon Saloon was the ultimate spot to catch a game! Filled with Bears memorabilia and packed with Chicago Faithful!
The nachos with chicken were delicious, and I had the Italian Beef with hot giardiniera peppers and fries, which was amazing. Our drinks were mixed perfectly, and everything was top-notch.
A special shoutout to Courtney, our waitress—she was fantastic with her great personality and awesome service! She even joked that she deserves a raise, and I couldn’t agree more!

Love this place! The bartenders are awesome! The Gluten free pizza is AMAZING (probably the best gluten free pizza i’ve ever had)and the wings are delicious!!

Hayley at the Moon Saloon delivered another excellent experience for us. My husband and I really appreciated how she balances being genuinely friendly with a high level of professionalism. She’s attentive, quick, and makes you feel welcome without ever missing a beat behind the bar. It’s impressive that she’s only been there about six months because she already runs the bar like a seasoned pro. Drinks were spot-on and the service stayed consistent even when things got busy. We’ll definitely keep coming back and always look forward to seeing her working.

Have been there a handful of times, but for the first time they came to the table with a POS device instead of a bill. It just had a total with nothing itemized. I wondered how my bill got so high so quick. I asked for an itemized bill and had been overcharged on everything by $2 each or more. BEWARE of this deception, I will not be coming back.

We have been a big fan of the Moon Saloon since our first visit, however that was ruined yesterday. We absolutely loved the natural cuts fries and everything they went with. The change to that coated crap excuse for fries we got yesterday was absolutely awful. The burger bun was chewy and seemed lower quality than we’ve had before. We didn’t eat any fries and complained to the bartender about the quality who just kinda shrugged and said I know. The bartender should have said something when we ordered and after our complaint should have offered some other side.
We also mentioned it to the manager on the way out and got a similar unconcerned response.
What a disappointment!! What was once a special bar who served well above bar quality food is just average and not worth the extra time we spent driving there.
