Homey barbecue joint dishing out Southern comfort food, draft beers & housemade sauces to take home.

This is a good hometown BBQ restaurant. The Brunswick stew wasn’t to my taste and was not warm enough, but the rest of my food was tasty. I got the turkey and dressing special with a side of Lima beans (delicious) and Brunswick stew (very mid and not warm enough). It came with warm cornbread, which was tasty.

The brisket was good, but could have used more seasoning, both on the tacos and the sandwich. The fries weren’t salted at all and also had no crispness. None of the sauces on the table were labeled, and none were barbecue sauce. Their Arnold Palmer was sweet and good. The service was just okay, and where we were sitting, wind blew at us every time the door opened, so it was probably the worst seating in that restaurant.

This place is AMAZING. I wish I knew about it a long time ago on my many visits to Columbus.
**Emma** was awesome. Ask for her if she’s on duty. Everyone else there seemed very friendly and helpful too, but Emma was my server so I can only comment about her.
I ordered the brisket platter that comes with two sides plus a bread
The meat was thick and long. Minimal fat on it too, just as I asked. The handcut fries are so good too. The baked beans were good but I wouldn’t order them separate because the size versus the cost, you would get way more fries than beans.
**SECRET**. Ask your server for the “Shoop Sauce” if you like a sweeter BBQ sauce. It has to come in a little cup from the kitchen because it’s not on the table. You can buy some to take home if you like it.
Sitting in the bus is fun for kids and adults both. Everyone here was so happy and enjoyed their experience here.
There’s a geocache located at this location, so if you are into that, be sure to look for it. It’s nicely hidden.
If you are in the Columbus area, I recommend this restaurant very much. I hope they turn on the neon lights outside next time I’m there.

The ribs are juicy and mouth watering. The baked sweet potatoe incredible sweet and scrumptious. The chef’s salad is splendid. They include miniservings of fries, pickles, sweet sugar, cinnamon, a delicious salad dressing, two slices of bread, various crackers and butter. The portions are very fullfilling. Every bite of food tastes fresh. Recommend it, 100%

Customer, Beware; check before you go! I ordered 1.5 lbs of brisket to go on 11/15/25. When I got home (I live 40 min away) I opened the to go box and realized that there were only 4 strips of brisket. There’s no way this was 1. 5 lbs of brisket so I weighed it at home and found they gave me 0.73 lbs of brisket. When I called the restaurant the waitress connected me to her manager Ariel, and I let her know that I paid $39.39 (w/tip) for 1.5 lbs of brisket and received only 4 strips! I let her know that I live 40 minutes away and that I wanted to be refunded for the remaining brisket I didn’t get. She didn’t sound concerned nor apologized and told me I had to return to the restaurant and only then would they refund me or give me the difference. I told her I could take a picture or video because I live 40 minutes away and she offered to put me on some VIP list. Mind you the whole time this woman had an attitude with me and acted like I was lying and told me that this was all they could do. She told me that even if she put me to her general manager, he would say the same. Well after the attitude with me on the phone, I don’t trust going back over there, especially if I’m on some list. Unfortunately, I’m out of the money I paid and didn’t get my brisket and gave a tip for horrible service. I hope the same don’t happen to you. Make sure you open your food container before you leave or better yet, don’t waste your money and go to Jim and Nick’s instead. The service is definitely not worth the money at Country’s in downtown Columbus.
I’d like to write a follow up; the owner did email me and provided me a refund. I really appreciate that. I might give this place another chance in the future. Maybe I just went on an “off” day.

As others have mentioned, the service is amazing and the food comes out quickly. I do wish the food was hot when it came out, it tasted like the fries had been cooked earlier in the day or had been sitting for a bit. Again though, the bbq does outweigh a lot of these issues, and would recommend!

We sat in the bus seating area. Very unique! Chicken tenders were delicious! Our waitress was very hospitable!

Absolutely the worst place ever for BBQ. Ordered online, arrived to pick it up, no one was available. People eating at the bar/counter had been waiting a long time for someone to come back to the front. Some other customer guy walked to the back to get someone to come the front and then 4 girls came around the corner. Got home and no sauce, ribs and brisket dry, greens probably canned and the cornbread?? They forgot the corn part when it was being made or something. I do not recommend. They need a new cook or someone that knows flavor and seasoning and the customer service was ridiculous. So disappointed. 2 thumbs down. I’d call back for a refund but they’d probably screw that up too.

The service is great and the atmosphere ain’t bad but man the food is the driest BBQ I’ve ever had. The food comes out fast when ordered and that’s probably why it comes out cold. The only way to eat the food without choking is covering it with one of the three BBQ sauces they have which are also nothing special. Do not recommend even if you’re very hungry and can’t find any parking anywhere else. It’s worth starving a bit longer or parking far away to eat anywhere else but here.

I stopped by Country’s On Broad today and had a great experience. The food was delicious and hit the spot. Candis was my server and she took excellent care of me. She was attentive, friendly, and made the meal even better. I really appreciated the great service. I’ll definitely be back.
