Have read many very good reviews about the silo and have gone bye the restaurant when we have been up to queensbury, we ended up getting a gift certificate and found a nice day to travel up and try it out. Parking g lot was crowded but we were able to find a place to park. We were greeted very nicely by the friendly staff. There was about a 45 minute wait when we arrived at 11.20am. There is a country store to browse around at on the bottom and upper floors. Seating all around as you wait to be paged to be seated. Our wait time ended up being 40 minutes. Waitress was very friendly and offered some good things to eat off the menu, she said everything was very good. We ordered the biscuits and gravy, came with choice of meats, I chose the bacon, 5 nice pieces came with the order. Also comes with 3 eggs any style and hone fries. Also ordered the pancakes that came with 3 eggs, choice of meat was sausage toast and home fries. We ofrder the cinnamon bun as a breakfast appetizer, and 2 coffees. The food was out in less then 15 minutes for how busy it was, all the food came to around $53.00. Well worth the wait and the food portions a very generous. Will come back for some lunch next time.

Simply my definition of outstanding “comfort food”! Yes, I’m local. Yes, I’m a HUGE fan of their freshly made apple cider donuts! Yes, I enjoy wandering around their gift shop to find that unique item. HOWEVER, I’m a bigger fan of the restaurant. The service is consistently on point. The food, as I described is delicious comfort-food…This last visit I tried the Adirondack Sandwich for the first time. (usually I am a traditional breakfast diner!) Be sure you are hungry if you order this, as it is enough to share. My daughter likes their made to order omelets…again…so big my daughter questioned exactly how many eggs were in there! (jokingly). And could not resist the peppermint hot cocos! It was awesome!

We stopped for lunch and we were so pleased. Kali our server was extremely friendly and helped us decide on lunch. Everything on the menu sounded so good. Her recommendations hit the spot. The portions were huge. But of course we saved room to try their cider donuts. One word, YUM!
Thank you Silo for a wonderful meal, great staff and a fun atmosphere.

The Silo in Queensbury has been around for as long as I can remember, and having lived in the Capital District all my life, I can’t believe it took me this long to finally go. It’s a great spot, but I’d recommend going early wait times can get long quickly. The menu is large, offering both breakfast and lunch, and it seems you can order either at any time of day.
We arrived at 7:15 a.m. and were immediately welcomed by the smell of warm cider donuts as we walked in. Our party of three was seated right away. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Portions are absolutely huge you’ll definitely be leaving with a take-home box.
I ordered the cider donut French toast, which also came with eggs, a choice of meat, home fries, and toast (as if I needed more carbs!). The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the bacon was crisp and flavorful. My husband had the classic French toast with eggs there was so much French toast, it could’ve fed two people. My daughter went with the special eggs benedict (benny) on a croissant, topped with poached eggs, apples, and cheese, and served with home fries and her choice of meat which she choose to pass since she’s a vegetarian.
Everything we tried was hearty, dependable, and just what you want from a breakfast place. Service was fast and attentive from start to finish. After eating, we explored the shop, which has several levels filled with adorable gifts and unique items.
Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience, and my only regret is waiting so long to finally give The Silo a try.

We stopped for breakfast before heading back from our trip. We had to wait about an hour for a group of 5. It was a holiday weekend. There was a gift shop and fresh cider donuts. Once we were seated, it took a while for our server to come, but when she came over, things moved pretty smoothly. Staff were friendly. We enjoyed all of our foods. Generous portions so come hungry. The wait was worth it for us. I can see why it’s popular. 🙂

Do not waste your time going to the diner across the street. The food at the silo is well worth the wait! The portions are so big you can share them. The food is absolutely delicious, especially their vegetable omelettes. You can shop while you wait to be seated. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

I absolutely love this place. I wish I lived closer! The service is always amazing and the food is delicious. The amount of food they give you is incredible for the price as well.
The biggest issue with this place is deciding between breakfast or lunch. There are countless options when you come to The Silo and the line moves quick. If you’re looking for a breakfast or lunch spot, this is the best place is the area by far.
