Sorry, I did not like my fish. It did not taste like red snapper or any other fish. It tasted like Cod liver oil. The service was good but my food was not. Just my opinion of course. You will have to be the judge of your own taste buds. Also Im use to going to fish spots where you can see the fish you want and have them fry it. Its a small place and clean and decent and good customer service.

The food was good. The atmosphere was wonderful. Customer service was wonderful. The reason why I gave it. Four stars was because of the quantity of the food. It did not match with the price that I paid.
I got a family pack and I only got one cornbread
Spent over $100 I feel like we should be able to get more food for that amount.

They tell you you’re getting 4 pieces of fish when really it’s 2 pieces just cut in half.
They also upcharge for catfish
Good food but I probably won’t be driving 45 minutes again for it.

I tried Fish Cage for the first time and the food was really good! The fish, shrimp, and crab ball were all seasoned perfectly and cooked just right fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The portions were fair, and the service was friendly. The lady taking the orders (Rain) was amazing. She was very welcoming, professional, and great personality even being busy. It is a bit on the pricey side, but the quality made it worth it. I’d definitely go back!

I’ll start off by saying, I don’t know what all of the hype is about.
This place is a mess and the food was AWFUL!
I spent $78 treating my friends to what all 3 of us thought was delicious, finger licking, lip smacking, DOWN HOME cooking.
It’s from someone’s home, just not from “down home”.
EVERYTHING was over-salted and tasteless. EVERYTHING! I’m still trying to figure out how and why people are lining up for that yuck-fest.
None of us could eat it. I wasn’t insulted that they threw away their food because I couldn’t throw mine away fast enough.
Just gross!
I immediately rushed home to brush my teeth and tongue.
Ugh!
They gain a star for the pleasant cashier. Nice lady.
I ordered catfish, fries, shrimp, greens, banana pudding and coleslaw.
Yuck!
They have a refrigerator full of cold Kool-aid that I’m sure was sugary sweet. Not much else in the way of beverages.
They have a table and 4 chairs which we sat and ate at. The table had crumbs on it.
Not to worry, we wiped it down before and after we ate.
Enter and spend too much money for gross food if you’re feeling lucky but I wouldn’t recommend it.
I’m telling you, don’t do it.

This place is DELICIOUS! They make it to order and you can tell. Every time I go, they are so kind and they make you feel welcome. I love their shrimp and my mom get the catfish. You can’t miss with this place

THE FISH CAGE RESTAURANT!!! This place is definitely a hidden gem! I was searching for a good soul food/seafood restaurant. I came across this one in the search results and read the reviews. I decided to go and I was NOT disappointed!! The FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!!! I had the shrimp basket, some oysters, the catfish and delicious sides!! I say go get some good food! Prices are very good…There is a slight wait for your order because it’s made fresh but WELL WORTH the wait!!

Welp. I wanted so bad to give an awesome review of this place. The staff is amazing! They were soo nice and helpful. But the food…well…they lost me.
My fish dinner was inedible. I took one bite of the fish and couldn’t take anymore. No seasoning or flavor. The fried shrimp pretty good. I got three sides. Mac N Cheese, over cooked noodles, not enough cheese and no seasoning. Rice and gravy. The gravy tastes like flour and grease.
Hush puppies….Now this was the saving grace! They were amazing! Seasoned and cooked to perfection! The white beans and rice… I was thinking, how could these beans be perfectly seasoned but not the fish? ♀️
And the Koolaide for the WIN!!!
I’m thinking of giving it another try with other menu items…maybe
But for now…3 stars is the best I can do
