The meats are delicious and the service is warm and welcoming. Everything else is top notch but the sandwiches are dry but the meat quality makes it good enough. If you are looking for a nice dinner I suggest going for a rib and one or two sides.

I’m leaving a four star review because my review I wanted to leave wouldn’t be fair. We are from Texas and as a rule, we normally wouldn’t eat barbecue from anywhere else because we know we will be disappointed. Smokin Yards was conviently located and had great reviews so we went for it. I had the chopped brisket and mashed potatoes. The meat was so bland. Didn’t really have a taste at all and was a little dry. I took a couple of bites and didn’t even finish it. My husband had the Carolina pulled pork and he stated the same thing about the meat. BUT the portion sizes were OK, the prices fair, the service was fast and the staff were super friendly.

Smokin’ Yards BBQ was the perfect stop on our road trip from Chicago to meet up with my friend before heading to Castle Rock. We were craving some good BBQ, and this place did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. It made for a great start to our trip! I highly recommend checking them out if you’re in the area.

Been on a BBQ kick lately so I had to give this place a try and it was DELISH! We got ribs, burnt ends, coleslaw and French fries and everything was amazing. The burnt ends had a super flavor crispness on the outside, but tender inside. The ribs were super tender. The coleslaw was creamy but not overly mayo-y and the fries were perfect crispy on the outside and soft in the middle with great seasoning. I wish I had tried the mac and cheese!

Pro tip, if you like spicy, add some of the mango ghost pepper hot sauce to the BBQ sauce!!!

Having relocated from South Carolina, I appreciate this place very much.
The sliced brisket and chopped brisket sandwiches were delicious. I was fortunate to get their last serving of burnt ends which are amazing! The catfish was also over the top.
Sides were all good to very good. The Mac and cheese was somewhere between a good normal version and a full fledged SC baked dish – not the best but yummy.
Several BBQ sauces along with hot sauces, pickles, onions and jalapeños are plentiful.
Staff was attentive. Chairs inside were not very comfortable.
Meal for 4 with water was $80 with a tip. Well worth it!
Enjoy!

First time stopping in and glad I did. The spicy and the bold BBQ sauces were definitely my favorite. The brisket was tender and the hot link had good favor. The fries were good, Mac and cheese was fine…. But overall great meal. Plus they have Diet Dr Pepper which is always a plus to me lol

Great brisket sandwiches for a reasonable price. The portions were large for the price. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the burnt ends, so I didn’t get to try them. One thing that is puzzling is why don’t they serve meat by the lb like most bbq places? The brisket was great, and I liked that there were different types of sauces to try.

I’ve spent my life on a quest for truly great BBQ across the US—usually ending in disappointment, an emptier wallet, and a side of regret. Not this time!

Our first visit to Smokin’ Yard’s was Mother’s Day 2025, and it delivered the best BBQ we’ve ever had. Pulling into the car park, we spotted several trucks with Texas plates—evidence that this BBQ in Colorado is so good even Texans will drive up for it. Clearly, these folks know their barbecue.

No snake oil here—these meats cure everything from depression to hanger. We dove in hard with the pulled chicken, brisket, and short ribs. Their sauces deserve their own psalm; mixing chipotle and bold was a true hymn to my taste buds.

The sides are main-course material. My 7-year-old declared the mac & cheese the best she’s ever had (although mom’s homemade still takes gold). The mashed potatoes looked like twin scoops of comfort and joy—supernatural potatoes, I swear.

Out front, a cheeky pig statue puffed on a cigar—perfect for photos without worrying it’d hog the spotlight.

If Moses had known about BBQ this miraculous when God sent quail in the desert, he might’ve etched a second set of commandments to include: “Thou shalt feast at Smokin’ Yard’s.”

—Moses-approved!

The quality of the meat was good, ribs were tender as well as the chopped brisket the chicken was bland but I can appreciate the fact that it wasn’t dry. I liked how all of the sauces they sit on the table are made from scratch the bbq sauces were good ! The sides were not my favorite the Mac and cheese was bland and the baked beans had a lingering taste like the bottom of the pot was burning or the pieces of meat that were added in were burnt. Overall good service fast and fresh food. 4/5 Stars
