Heard about this place around town and wife and I wanted to try the pizza. They did not disappoint. We ordered wings and the margarita pizza and the hot honey pepperoni and both were incredible. The wings are equally delicious. We went with staff recommended sauces on the wings and they are large and double baked to perfection. Staff was friendly welcoming. The most impressive part was being greeted by the owner. I read an article about how he came to be in the dough slinging business and was really impressed by the story. This place is well loved and the restaurant really shows how much they care about the product. Pizza and wings and they do both very very well. Thanks for a great time and we’ll be back!!.

This place was all over my fyp,like seriously even meme accounts. So I thought I definitely had to see this place. I flew all the way from Turkey to America just to taste this(i mean no but yes). When i got in i was already in love with the interior it’s really cozy and warm it feels like peace. I ordered a margherita and chicken wings. It was affordable. I really liked the food the wings are super tender and tangy. The pizza was also great the cheese is quality and there wasn’t too much dough so it’s more tasty and the crust is a 10/10!! It was definitely worth it I’d come back here again i recommend it to everyone!!

Food is good. The toppings as well as cheese are skimpy. They don’t go to the crust of the pizza as they should. Good flavor. I’ll try it again. So far I’ll rate it 2nd best in Wilmington.

We were visiting from the Atlanta, Ga area and were searching online for Gluten-Free restaurants when this pizza place popped up along with several others. The ratings were high and reviews were great so we thought that we would give it a try. There is only outdoor seating at picnic tables which worked out well because we had our dog with us! There is a nice little park across the street and we walked our dog while waiting for our pizza We had 4 people in our party, myself, my husband and our 2 adult sons along with our dog. My youngest son has Celiac so when we travel we are always looking for good gluten free food options. They offer a cauliflower crust 10″ pizza which the guy who took our order said that they do not guarantee “gluten free” if someone is highly sensitive. They don’t have separate prep areas so there is a chance of cross contamination. He assured us though that they do everything they can to avoid it. We decided to take our chances. We ordered a regular crust 14″ Margherita, a cauliflower crust(which only comes in 10″) Hawaiian and a 10″ cauliflower crust Supreme. All of the pizzas were very good and my sons enjoyed their cauliflower crust pizzas! The owner came out to check on us and make sure that enjoyed our food I love it when that happens, it shows a level of pride and a desire for high quality products!

I have to admit the crust on the pizza was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised at it. Some of the best crust in the Wilmington area. I enjoyed the rolled end of the pizza crust and my wife and I actually buttered the rolled end of the crust to further enjoy the pizza.
What else? I had a cheese pizza with pepperoni (which is quite large in size and tasty). The second time here (yes I came back) I ordered a cheese pizza as well. This is a exceptionally good pizza.
Do I recommend Don Luca, absolutely, but a 16 inch size would put it over the top, but their oven can’t handle the 16 inch. That’s the only negative, but I will not deduct a star for that.

Had a craving for some pizza and wings. Drove on over and ordered at the window for a margherita pizza and five smoked wings, miso/garlic flavor. Pros and cons: wings were absolutely the best. Meat fell right off the bone, excellent taste. The pizza was thin crust and excellent taste. However, if you live greater than 10 minutes away, the pizza gets cold. They only have outdoor seating so if you order pizza, I recommend you eat it there fresh out of the oven.

Honestly, 4-day old Don Luca Pizza warmed up in the microwave is better than 90% of other pizza anywhere around. My wife and I love this place. The hot honey pepperoni has become a member of our family. The pizza is great. The guys that make the pizza are super nice. If you are just looking for a damn good pizza, this is the spot.

Let me start by saying that this local pizzeria was such a great find! This outdoor picnic set up created a wonderful setting back from the beach. My fiancé and I shared the hot honey pepperoni pizza — absolutely delicious. I’m from NYC and was seriously impressed. The crispy, oven-fired crust and the sweet-spicy combo of charred pepperoni and hot honey hit all the right notes. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be back!

Some of the best pizza I’ve had. About 20 years ago I lived in the heart of Chicago in an apartment on the 10th floor, on the first floor there was a pizza place that I would go to every night, it was more then just a pizza place to me I had been going there every night for 10 years. It was my regular routine to eat there. But in 2005 I had to move for work and it was the most devastating year of my life, I missed the pizza and the owners and the people I met there every day. So when I moved I moved North Carolina I lived near this little pizza place named Don Luca, I drove past it everyday to go to work but never tried it. Until yesterday… I got a pizza and the memories flooded me, it taste exactly the same as the pizza place I went to every day. I had to hold back my tears, it was one of the best days I’ve had in the past couple years. I will be coming here every day. Thank you
