Good place to try local dishes I think. They also had a music and dance demonstration. It seemed all the guests were tourists, but the food and drinks were good, and we will go back.

Restaurante Las Pichanchas in San Cristóbal was an incredible experience! The vibrant atmosphere, complete with traditional dancers and live music, made for a truly memorable evening. I also discovered my new favorite drink, Pulpo – a must-try for anyone visiting.

The food was delicious, served in generous portions, and reasonably priced, offering great value for the quality. The service was quick and friendly, adding to the overall fantastic experience.
If you’re looking for great food, lively entertainment, and a taste of local culture, this place is not to be missed!

Someone recommend this place while in San Cristobal so I gave it a try and I guess it just wasn’t what I expected. They do serve traditional food from the state of Chiapas and that’s what makes this place famous. They took a long time to take our drink order and they were not busy. The Only thing I can recommend is their guacamole and their signature drink called “pumpo”.
Prices are reasonable.

Traditional food with charm, and if you go there at 20:30 they even have a show with a traditional dance. Not fine dinning but traditional food, tasty, nice and clean. A total MUST when you visit san cristobal de las casas

I thought everything was generally good but didn’t really think anything was great. Cochito Chiapaneco was probably our favorite dish. Didn’t care for the cooked fish at all. Dancing and music was fun to see but probably not everyone’s cup of tea.

Interesting, touristic restaurant that specializes in Chiapaneco cuisine. Staff friendly and they observe Covid protocols. We ordered the 4 course special which is an nice intro to the food from various parts of Chiapas. They had marimba entertainment while we were there. There’s a dance floor for shows or in case the patrons decide to leave some of the calories. Four 4 course meals came to 1265MXN (approx. $62 USD Oct 2021) with soft drinks. Reasonable for a tourist. Nice experience.

Nothing like the original location. My girlfriend and I were so excited about this location close to where we were staying, but it was filled with disappointment. All the beef we ordered were horrible cuts. The meat was not fresh, and they seemed more concerned with the show than the quality of food being served.

The manager offered no solutions to fix this, it’s embarrassing that this shares the same name as the original location.

A tourist trap & best to avoid.

Very tasty food! Is the best restaurant I’ve been in san cristobal. They have a small show that explains chiapas culture. We loved this place overall, I recommend arrachera meat!
