That Bourbon Sirloin made the most dramatic entrance. It came out sizzling and snapping like it was auditioning for Broadway—presentation was flawless, attitude unmatched. But the moment I cut in? Whew. All bark, no bite. The steak had zero flavor, the mushrooms were just there for decoration, and that bourbon sauce? Sweet enough to pour on pancakes. Don’t let the smoke fool you—this sirloin was serving sass with no substance.
Then the so-called “Creole” Shrimp. Creole where? Not a hint of spice, no depth, just bland little shrimp looking lost on the plate. It had the nerve to carry a whole regional name while tasting like boiled nothing.
And that brown rice with almonds? Listen. It tasted like a lumberjack’s snack. Earthy in the worst way—like someone raided a bag of mulch and called it gourmet. Chewing through it felt like doing yard work.
So yes, the salad bar is legendary. The entrées? A masterclass in catfishing.
Recommendation: Strut to the salad bar, strike a pose with the sizzle, then slide out before disappointment sets in.
Legend’s has really stepped it up.
You can tell the culture has changed. The food’s better, the service is better, and the people genuinely seem to care. I came in tonight planning to brag on our server, but honestly, we’ve eaten here three times this week, and all three visits were great.
That kind of consistency says a lot.
Credit to the staff, for sure, but also credit to Legends for setting a standard and sticking to it. Affordable meals, daily dinner specials, and a place families can actually enjoy without overspending.
Good food. Good people. Done right.
This visit was mixed. On the positive side, the spinach queso was very good, and the salad bar was fresh and enjoyable.
Unfortunately, the main dishes were disappointing. I ordered my steak medium, but the first one came out nearly raw, barely warm in the middle, and very tough, so it was sent back. The replacement was cooked better but was still tough and lacked flavor. My wife’s steak was also quite tough. The mac and cheese portion was small and bland, and while the mashed potatoes were a larger portion, they were also bland. Overall, the food felt overpriced for the quality received.
Service was another letdown. Our waitress seemed inattentive. I ran completely out of sweet tea (which was mediocre to begin with) while I was still eating. When I mentioned it as she walked by, she stopped to take another table’s order instead, leaving me with no drink. I ended up drinking some of my wife’s tea while waiting.
Between the food quality, portion sizes, pricing, and service, this visit didn’t change our opinion. There were a couple of bright spots, but overall it fell short of expectations. Oh and we didn’t even know they had rolls as we were never brought or offered any.
This food was delicious! That catfish is just one serving ..btw
The food was ok… didn’t have extra toppings as requested for my baked sweet potato. And the well done chopped steak was well WELL done. Restaurant should offer gravy, sautéed mushrooms and onions with the chopped steak.
