I wish to give them 00000 five zero star
I waited for 10 minutes to get a table, but the service was terrible. The food was too sweet, even a stick of candy was over the top. I don’t understand why they serve candy instead of beef, chicken, or pork. It’s not even a very expensive restaurant, and the route service was poor. I won’t be returning to this place ever again!!!!!!!!!

I use to go here alot, I even worked here at one point and time. They are always rotating people in and out of there. If you go when they have a good cook the food is AMAZING. We live in Watertown and went out of our way to come by. Unfortunately when we went the food just wasn’t as good. If I have the choice of spending $40 there again, I would choose to go to King Chef(love this place) in Smyrna instead.

As someone who grew up with real traditional American Chinese food in the Boston area I can say this is the best American Chinese food I have had in Tennessee. More choices than anywhere else I have been, all served hot/fresh and refilled quickly. The Hibachi area also looked exceptional, but we filled up on all the great selections and did not try it this time. We will be frequenting Asuka as often as I am in the Smyrna area.

So I like to travel to visit different restaurants. So I decided I would give this place a try regardless of the reviews! This place was the best in Smyrna Area that I have ever tried, food was fresh, also hot. The flavors was amazing. There are so many options to choose from. I went during the lunch buffet. The restaurant was very clean I wouldn’t complain about anything, except the service provided by the server’s. There was 5 on the side I was sitting on. It was only 2 really interested in their jobs the other 3 was either on the phone, or cleaning beans at one of the tables, instead of picking up the dirty plates, or offering refills. I had to ask for my server twice! This is only the issue!!!
Update!! This place is awesome went again on August 2 2025 at lunch. All food was great as usually. The male waiter is the best! He always stays on top of refills, and clears the plates off the tables.

It seems like there’s a lack of enthusiasm in their cooking. The chicken is burn, lacks flavor, and isn’t even good enough to store for later, almost like it’s gone bad. I had to reheat it and toss some sesame seeds in because they forgot to include any. It’s as if there’s no one overseeing the food preparation.

For the price, Asuka Buffet is absolutely worth it. You won’t find Michelin 5 star food, but you will leave satisfied. The servers give lots of refills, the place supports the community, and it encourages you to keep on returning.
The atmosphere is lovelier then you’d think for a Chinese buffet and im constantly surprised at how Asukas can stay in business while being as affordable as it is.

I often come here to eat, and every time I visit, I run into the short, older server I dislike. She speaks very loudly. While I was eating for one hour, she chatted with her coworkers for the entire hour, like a crow in the morning, constantly cawing. It was so noisy that it gave me a headache. Her attitude is also bad, and the way she speaks sounds like she wants to argue with me.
I come here to eat and enjoy the food, not to be upset. I suggest that the manager of this restaurant should not let this person work here, otherwise you will lose many customers.

The waitress was very rude, and seemed confused.
Although we did call ahead with a part of 21, she must’ve had a bad day.
Everyone had the open bar, so she only needed to serve drinks and remove our empty plates.
After we all finished dinner, we received our checks.
There was an automatic 15% gratuity.
Which i thought that was absurd since the only work that was needed was our drinks served and plate removal. No food orders were taken. Only drinks.
Well. We got our checks, and asked about senior discounts, only to find out that she ADDED the discount to her tip, instead of subtracting it from the actual food cost.
So, in the end, or waits wounds up with a 20% tip.
I will never return here again. And I will warn all my friends of this unnecessary act of serving at this establishment.

This was a horrible experience. Marked up price for Christmas dinner. Then a family of 20 was there with 5 kids pulling food off buffet with no supervision just using their bare hands. Wrestling and screaming jumping of the table. It was nuts. When we told the manager he said “THEY aren’t my kids” I said it’s your restaurant and your waitress. They even took jello sat on the table was smashing it up like they were trying to paint and started throwing it at the waitress. The manager with the pony tail did nothing to stop it and let them all walk out without paying but didn’t even blink to charge us for this awful experience. Will NOT go back.
