The food is better than expected.
4* for service. The lady was very accommodating in spite me going there last my min. We were the only customers in a weekday night.
It is a basic restaurant like in any mall in the CBD. Don’t expect anything fancy.
Atmosphere is sad but then it is wt it is.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Ganges Indian Restaurant in Hobart. The food was outstanding, bursting with authentic flavours and cooked to perfection. A special mention to the Chicken 65 Biryani — absolutely delicious! The chicken was beautifully spiced, tender, and perfectly balanced with the fragrant biryani rice. It was easily the highlight of our meal.
What truly made our visit memorable was the excellent service provided by Purvi. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, ensuring we were comfortable and well looked after throughout. Her friendly approach and attention to detail added a personal touch that elevated the entire experience.

We had the Rogan Josh, butter chicken, naan and jeera rice. The butter chicken had an amazing tomato base, it was so flavourful and delicious. I often eat indian or similar, this one was really, really, really good.
I saw your buffet for private functions, hopefully one day it’ll be regular.
We love the staff, thanks so much to her, and interior of the restaurant! Location is convenient too.

We were pleasantly surprised by our dining experience at Ganges Indian by Nature. An unprepossessing shop in the Wellington Centre in Hobart city, it wasn’t what we were expecting when we arrived. The hostess was warm and welcoming, and the food came quickly. Both our meals were delicious, Chicken Korma for me and Lamb Rogan Josh for my husband. The portion size was very generous. GvThe naan bread was superb, albeit a little thin. We will return.

Had an amazing meal here that I’m still thinking about! The Kolhapuri Chicken Curry was absolutely incredible packed with flavor, just the right amount of heat, and clearly made with care. You can tell the chef knows what they’re doing. The Paneer Butter Masala was rich, creamy, and super comforting perfect if you’re looking for something a little milder but still full of taste.
The naan was so soft and fresh, perfect for scooping up all that delicious gravy. One thing that really stood out was the onion salad super fresh, beautifully presented, and added that perfect crunch to balance the meal.
Big thanks to the front staff too they were genuinely warm and welcoming, and their service made the experience even better. Overall, it felt like a meal made with heart. Will definitely be coming back.

Walk past here almost every day for work and finally decided to go in for dinner. Food was amazing! Service was also amazing. Despite the lack of people in for dinner we were pleasantly surprised (location in a busy/loud walk through may affect this) we will definitely be back again.

Easily one of the best Indian restaurants in Hobart. We tried Paneer tikka, Rogan Gosht and Palak paneer. The cheese garlic naans were out of the world. Would definitely come again when we visit Hobart next time.

Customer service is great 10/10. Food is average and bit expensive. Atmosphere is ok, can sit and eat. It’s and average place to have food. Initially I thought it’s a restaurant but kind of food shop. Idli was good. Goat biryani is 7/10.

I work close by so I come for lunch every now and then. Today I met Urvi, she is amazing! The food is always great and the fresh cheese and garlic naan are perfect but today I got to enjoy amazing service from Urvi also. Greeted with a big beautiful smile and wholesome energy.
