My husband took me to McCormick & Schmick’s in Baltimore for a birthday celebration dinner, and it was an exceptional experience from beginning to end. It was our first time dining there, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make the evening feel special.
From the personalized birthday menus to our waiter, Michael, immediately wishing me a happy birthday and offering to take photos throughout the night, the level of service was outstanding. Michael was attentive, warm, and genuinely thoughtful, which made a big difference.
The food was fantastic. We started with a variety of oysters, followed by the chef’s special surf and turf for two, which included steak, lobster, and shrimp. It was all perfectly prepared. The evening ended on a high note with dessert. The restaurant surprised me with a slice of birthday cake complete with a lit candle, and the flourless chocolate torte may have been the best I’ve ever had.
Between the excellent service, delicious food, and special touches, this was a memorable dining experience. Highly recommend McCormick & Schmick’s Baltimore for celebrating a special occasion.

Great views of the harbor! We came early and the restaurant wasn’t very crowded. Greeted at the front desk by the manager who was very friendly and gave us a nice booth. Ordered the rye chocolate old fashioned and the lavender haze and both were excellent! As an appetizer, we tried the seared tuna. Had to send it back because it wasn’t seared – it was basically tuna tartar. Nonetheless, the manager had it remade for us and for good measure took it off the check which we greatly appreciated. It was a bit spicy! Still had great flavor. I had the wedge salad which met my expectations; good flavor and wasn’t too big. For dinner we had the stuffed salmon which was absolutely delicious. Came with mashed potatoes and green beans; this one I would order again! Creme brulee for dessert was light and creamy. Not too sweet! By the time we left this place was pretty busy!! Was glad we showed up on the early side. Overall, I would return back again to this location!

With a reservation for 1:30pm, we had to wait 15 minutes to be greeted. Was giving excuse after excuse as to be seated . After 35 minutes we were finally seated! Was giving water , then bread 15 minutes after. Needless to say, it ruined tge mood of my Valentine’s lunch

It’s been a while since I’ve visited McCormick & Schmick’s. I thoroughly enjoyed each aspect of the experience from start to finish. Each staff member was welcoming, professional, and personable. As far as chain seafood restaurants go, McCormick and Schmick’s is as good as they come. We had a wonderful experience at this location after visiting the National Aquarium. The food was all delicious, the drink specials were great, and the service was terrific. I would definitely recommend this location.
