You really can’t go wrong with the burger options! I bounce between building my own, the Triple B burger, and Morty’s Steakhouse burger, all are scrumptious options. They do an excellent job at cooking to your requested temperature. When I build my own, I always choose the beef burger with cracked peppercorn seasoning for its incredible flavor, and I usually end up topping it with white American, iceberg lettuce, red onion, dill pickles, and bacon, and I get a side of house sauce. One weakness of the Murrysville restaurant is its inconsistency with bacon portion sizes- sometimes you get so much that it is well worth the $2 upcharge, and other times, you definitely question it and if you should try it again. The other locations I’ve visited are consistently generous on bacon, so the inconsistency here is a bit disappointing.
Burgers automatically come with russet potato chips, or you can get French fries or other sides for an upcharge. The French fries are good, but I’m not sure they’re worth the $2.50 upcharge, I do it on occasion! The chips are a solid option- as mentioned above, when I build my own burger I get the house sauce on the side to dip the chips in.
The milkshakes are good but on the pricey side, so I really only get them when they send out email coupons for dine in and buy 2 burgers, get a shake free. Most options are delicious, but I’ve found the Campfire S’mores and Cookie Monster flavors a bit underwhelming. The best flavors are Turtle Time and Strawberry Pretzel Salad! Although I generally like whipped cream, I tend to avoid it here because it’s very thick and sugary and not as creamy, and they top with a lot of it, but this is very much an individual preference thing. Pro tip: if you get your shake as a dine-in option, you get more because they give you the extra bit in the cup the mixed the shake in.
The service here is great, even when they’re very busy. Typically weekday nights are easy to walk in and get a table, but I’ve experienced wait times no more than 30 minutes for 2 people on weekends.
I’m not sure if I’ve been to ALL of the locations, but I can absolutely say that this review applies to each one.
Maybe you’re wondering why I’ve visited so many… the answer is simple. My family enjoys sharing meals together, and we always know that if there’s a Burgatory nearby everyone will leave happy.
It’s not a place that I would say is obnoxiously loud, but you don’t have to ever worry that your kid is going to be the one causing a scene. They’re always busy spots with enough going on that you can absolutely enjoy not cooking without worrying about side eye (which really brush those off anyway you’re doing great)
Do not sleep on the truffle fries, and as much as I love chips their house salad is so worth swapping for.
If veggie burgers are your thing, theirs is done right. I’m not talking some random pressed and sealed freezer slab, it’s truly hearty and they’re making it themselves.
Pro tip: ask for a side of truffle aioli. Put it on anything. You won’t regret it.
Well the product lived up to the raves and more!
We (family of 4 with 2 teenage kids) found the service to be outstanding! Bailey was our waitress and was excited that this was our first time at any Burgatory location.
She offered us the specials and provided excellent suggestions for us!
We lived vicariously and opted for the milkshakes before our meals. Their milkshakes are amazing! Heavy whipped cream and truly over the top delicious ingredients!
My Son and I had burgers. He got the Morty’s Steakhouse Burger and I got the Double Smash Burger.
These burgers are not your run of the mill out to eat burgers. They’re stacked high and freshly made! Think dive bar but with some class!
My Wife had the Burger of The Month which was a chicken burger. My Daughter opted for the Cha Cha Chicken burger.
The flavors in those chicken burgers was fantastic! Juicy, and massive!
This place definitely will be a revisit for us!
