My spouse and I visited Oakwood for breakfast a couple mornings ago. The service was great. No complaints. Our lady that welcomed us in and got our drinks was the sweetest. However, our food wasn’t the greatest, sadly. The chicken was good and the biscuit was okay. The loaded hash browns wasn’t crispy-and they were completely grease logged. All I could taste for the grease. I’m not saying this to tear down this business. I want to make that very clear. Oakwood has some amazing lunch and dinner. It’s just breakfast needs a little more work. Other than that everyone was really nice.

We’ve been here a few times now, and it is consistently good. Lunch and dinner options are nice, and if you want a feel good southern meal that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, give them a shot. Breakfast here was busy, but the food was good and the whole family enjoyed their meals. I had an omelet and biscuit and gravy. Staff is friendly and the place has been here forever. Always a good spot to grab a bite, and relax.

We found this place while we were out on an adventure and absolutely do not regret finding this little gem! A very attentive staff and the FOOD was AMAZING! I had the turkey Cuban sandwich and LOVED EVERY LAST BITE! My wife had the veggie plate with beans, mashed potatoes, fried okra, and squash casserole. I personally don’t eat fried okra, but my wife said it was GREAT! She said it didn’t seem like the frozen kind at all! Oh! I almost forgot to mention the coleslaw!!! Their coleslaw ranks as some of the best in my book! Finely cut and a little sweet! All-in-all, this restaurant was a WONDERFUL FIND, and we look forward to going back and eating there again!

I am so glad I found this restaurant. I wanted an authentic country dinner and this place was exactly what I was looking for. Yes, the food is as good as it looks in the picture. I loved their large selection of sides — clearly I couldn’t pick just two (that came with my bbq pork) I had to get a whole veggie plate of 4 more. My favorites were the corn casserole and Mac and cheese. SO yummy! The atmosphere is cute too. Will definitely be back!

The only issue is that I asked for a orange juice and it was so small. Small paper cup for coffee that was my OJ. My family has been going to oakwood for over 40 years and never had a issue.

I absolutely love this place. Best place to go for a home cooked meal, and the sweat tea is delicious. The prices are my favorite part! You can get a whole meal under $10. Each day, they have a special veggie option and entree option. They also have a regular menu that dowant change. The service is really good. The workers are always friendly & attentive. They keep the place very clean. We come here about once a week!
