Spike Speedwell
The taco salad seemed small. The shell, a little stale. It was filled with a generous quantity of well-seasoned ground beef. Covered with a sprinkling of lettuce, tomatoes, grated cheese, and dab sour cream. A little guacamole and a few refried beans in it, would have made it a better taco salad. A “lunch special” for $9.75. That’s a little pricey for what I got.
Nice restaurant. Great service. The restaurant displays several “Best of” plaques at the entrance.
Not my top pick for Mexican food in Sand Springs.
On to the Bixby location. Heavy competition in that area.

Food looked good, service was good. The enchilada was very spicy, I couldn’t eat it

Everything about this place was awesome! Their salsa is amazing so you know the food was fantastic! The Blue Acapulco drink was beautiful and tasty! The cheese enchiladas with chicken was spectacular will definitely go back!

The food was great but we only saw our server a few times. We didn’t get refills and had to sit and wait for her to come by so we could ask for boxes and the check. Other staff came to our table to interact with our baby which was nice. Usually the service is great, not sure what happened with tonight.

With baseball tournaments and rain, we had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated. But once we were seated, it was great!
I ordered the Burrito Chihuahua and it was sooo yummy! I love how much cilantro, avocado, and meat was inside. My husband had a Chimichanga Dinner with red sauce and the GB had Chicken Fajita Nachos. They said their food was good, too. We all had iced tea.
We got good service by the smiley Ismara and refills on chips as we needed.
It was a yummy lunch and a good time.

We stopped here after a long trip from Wichita Ks and was so disappointed. 1st , the server was pushy and and responses were short and clipped and very impatient. The food looked and tasted like it came from a tv dinner. Definitely not the authentic experience we were looking for and absolutely not worth the money. Will not be going back and making sure none of my friends waste their money there.

The food is decent, the service sucks!
We came in on Sunday 6-9-24 and were seated in the first room left of front door. Maybe this will help narrow down the bad waitress. I didn’t get her name.
I don’t know if our waitress forgot she had a table in there, but we were seated and waited 10 minutes before she came to get drink orders.
We placed our order and the food did come quickly, but that’s when our waitress disappeared.
We were three quarters through our meal and needed drink refills. Still no waitress. So I got up and asked two people up front that worked there if someone could get our waitress. Typically, they were glued to their phones.
Still…. another 10 minutes passed and guess who showed up? FINALLY we got our drink refills. But we were done and ready to get out of this place.
Here is a business tip. Don’t allow your employees to be on their phones during work hours!! Customer service will make or break a business. I don’t care what you serve.
Again, the food was decent… I have no problems there. Your wait staff and front end are your problems. I’m leaving 3 stars, because this place doesn’t deserve a 1 star. The wait staff does though.

We used to be very loyal customers moved out of town so haven’t been back in a while. Went today and food still taste good but plates had totally changed didn’t have the grilled jalapenos and onions and cucumbers and radishes on side of the tacos I always ordered, just presentation wasn’t what it used to be. My husband’s chile verde enchiladas barely had any verde sauce on it, he ordered two over easy eggs on the enchiladas and did not even get that. Was a little disappointed!

We got 2 margaritas….they we good…the server was great….salsa is good, its not chunky like I like it but it is tasty with alittle kick….got the chili verde….the Verde sauce was really good with tender pork….keep up the good work

Wonder experience for our team! Food was fast, delicious and the atmosphere is terrific. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. The serving size and price was maybe the best part!! They do a great job, we will be back – highly recommended!
