Everything was great. The restaurant was low key and quiet. Probably because people were eating the fantastic food and not talking. I got the small deep dish pizza with pepperoni and mushroom. Just wow. I’ve never tasted tomatoes on pizza like that before. I may not have tasted tomatoes like that ever. Get the butter crust. And consider getting extra sauce, although you’ll need a bib to eat that pizza.

Love Lou’s. Either Sausage Pan or the Chicago classic. Since 1978 or so. When the original one in lincoln, wood had a fireplace and it was dark. Loved it. And still really enjoy it.

We visited Lou Malnati’s on Friday, December 12, 2025, with some relatives that are from out of state. Despite us being local, we rarely go here but it was a nice visit. We got a whole array of different kinds of pizza. It wasn’t the greatest service I’ve had in my life, the staff felt a little impatient, but it was a little late on a Friday evening so it’s understandable. We were also late arriving on our reservation so that’s our bad. We appreciate the sit down and dine in experience as some of these locations don’t offer that. Good pizza and plenty to bring home for some leftovers! (Written 12-21-25)

We reserved a private banquet room on 12/6/25 for a family gathering of about 20 people. Leilani was our server and she did a fantastic job! She handled every detail from drinks, salads, pizza and dessert. The whole evening went perfectly and my family had a great time. As always, the food was delicious. Special thanks to Leilani for keeping everything running smoothly. She made it look effortless! 🙂

This stuff is great. First, the deep dish pizza they serve tastes delicious. Overall, I am a fan of deep dish pizza, but here, they have the best deep dish pizza I’ve had in my life. Also, this is a great place to go with friends. They have things like a large private dining room for big parties with lots of people, and, if you’re not looking to go out with friends, they have delivery, if you just want to eat at home while doing something else. All in all, Lou Malnati’s is a great pizzeria.

Lot was empty on a Monday at 4pm. Seated quickly at a booth in the main central seating area, host was cordial. The area was clean, bathrooms had tp pieces on the floor. The party rooms look tired, dark and dated. Our server was quick, knowledgeable, and got our drinks going quickly. The appetizers (bruschetta, boneless wings, and cheddar cubes) were excellent! The chicken sandwich was dry without much flavor. The crust on the gluten free pizza could not be consumed as it was rock hard. The thin crust pizza had little flavor except for the butter crust, which was cut but not actually. I had to tear the pizza apart, instead of using the spatula to scoop the slices. The desserts were excellent and put smiles on everyone’s faces.

Had to wait ten minutes to be seated when there was literally 3 tables full in the restaurant. The pizza was just good. Normally it is fantastic! I’m normally not one to complain but everything was not up to par like it used to be. For the money we spent we were definitely not happy.

It was a great visit for happy hour and our waitress Lani was the best ! She also made our drink in the bar and it was one of the best old fashioned I’ve ever had. We got 2 personal pizzas and meatballs for our appetizer. Great place to wind down after a busy day .
