My wife and I celebrated Valentine’s Day at Benjamin’s Steakhouse in New York City, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. This was my second visit, and I had been looking forward to bringing my wife for a long time. It absolutely lived up to the anticipation.

We were seated right away, even on a busy holiday night, which set the tone for the evening. The customer service was outstanding, attentive without being intrusive, and the food was exceptional. Every course was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. Exactly what you hope for in a top-tier NYC steakhouse.

The environment struck the perfect balance between lively and intimate. The seating wasn’t too tight, which made a big difference. We felt like we still had our own space and privacy, making it ideal for a special occasion like Valentine’s Day.

A particularly nice touch was when the general manager, Mario, stopped by our table to personally check on us and make sure everything was going well. That level of attention and hospitality truly elevated the experience.

We left feeling taken care of and already looking forward to our next visit. Benjamin’s continues to impress, and it’s now a special place for both of us.

It was excellent and met the standard you would expect from a proper steakhouse. We ordered the porterhouse, and it arrived sizzling on a hot plate, instantly boosting the appetite. The doneness was handled well, with a nicely seared, flavorful crust on the outside. The server thoughtfully helped carve the first few pieces for us, plated with bright green asparagus. Before the food even touched tongue, a smile was already on face. This is the kind of experience that is hard to recreate at home. Sometimes it is worth paying for professional quality lol

Above average steaks in a tight and dimly lit restaurant. Dined here during the last week of NYC Restaurant Week, and boy was dinner service jammed packed! Every table was filled, they even had small tables on the walkway, which I found kind of odd, but real estate in nyc is tough! The interior gives the old steakhouse dark vibes if you’re into that. The sirloin and rib eye we ordered from the restaurant week menu was juicy on the inside and nice and charred on the outside, but definitely heavy on the butter. Sides were typical. Old fashioned drink was done well and not too overly sweet like some places make them. There’s also an extensive wine list if you care to fancy. All in all, a decent steakhouse in midtown Manhattan!

I had an enjoyable evening. Service was impeccable. Atmosphere was nice, lighting was a little too dark. I enjoyed the oysters and shrimp cocktails as a starter. It’s nice you can order by piece. Caesar salad was fine, maybe too many hard end pieces of lettuce. The filet was cooked to order, slightly over seasoned but it was enjoyable. Cocktails were well made. Will go again the future.

Wowww! You get a lot more than amazing food at Benjamin’s. From the reception to all the service people it was an amazing experience.
John (Shkodran), the manager was there to help anyone with his smile and etiquette.
I’m not a meat guy but the meat here was out of this world.
Would definitely come back and suggest anyone to go there.

We had dinner at this restaurant for the first time during US Open (NYC restaurant week). The place was very busy, very dimmed light and tables were close to each others. We liked the bread basket. We tried fried calamari and buffalo mozzarella entrees. The fried calamari looked to be fried in old oil and the calamari itself is small. The mozzarella is good. The main course USDA prime dry-aged NY sirloin was perfectly cooked medium rare as requested and meat was tender. the portion of steak was very generous and we couldn’t even finished. We also had grilled salmon (no picture here) and it was very good. The sides, mashed potato was basic and home fries was not really what we expected, ordinary. The desserts, which we took home, cheesecake was great but chocolate mousse was not as good. Overall, the steak is definitely the specialty here and we’d definitely come back for it but the rest is average.

Unforgettable Steak Experience at Benjamin Steakhouse!

Last December, my best friend and I visited New York, and one morning we woke up with an intense craving for steak. By pure luck, we found ourselves at Benjamin Steakhouse, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place.

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the wonderful manager John Martinaj. Even though it was breakfast time, he kindly offered us the steak menu. We decided on the rib-eye, not realizing it’s nearly 1 kg per person. To our surprise, we devoured every bite. It was that incredibly delicious. The cheesecake was also amazing!

Months have passed, yet we still talk about that meal and the experience with huge smiles. This review is long overdue because moments like this deserve to be remembered and shared.

A heartfelt thank you to John for making our day so special and giving us a taste of happiness we’ll never forget. We can’t wait to come back on our next trip to New York!

Service was great, food was delicious, atmosphere was as expected (rich, eloquent, clean). I had the salmon ( medium well) which was cooked to perfection. The cream spinach is a must. Everything was magnificent, including the cheesecake. You won’t be disappointed. And you will leave satisfied.

I just love this old school steakhouse. Extensive wine list, perfectly cooked dry-aged rib steak, reasonably priced for an upscale NYC steakhouse and what a great unpretentious service by our waiter Harvey. Thanks for such a great experience! See you soon Harvey!
