We went here for lunch and there were lots of people. The food is good with the portions just right. My wife tried The Lox which came with a side of fruits and a brioche bread. I would prefer bagels but brioche is a good alternative. We tried their famous Monkey Bread which did not disappoint. The bread was so soft and tender. It came with 3 types of sauces that provided different flavor profiles. I tried the Berkeley Plate which was vegetarian with a cup of French onion soup. The soup was warm and hearty. It came with a vegetable patty which was dry for my taste and lacked flavor. For dessert we tried their classic cheesecake. It was too sweet to my liking. For drink I tried their classic Cherry bomb which was sweet and is visually appealing.

Team members were overall warm and friendly. The ambiance is rustic and relaxed. Parking was easy.

I have tried Truxton‘s for dinner a few times in the past, mostly to go or delivery orders but this past weekend I stopped in for breakfast for my first time and really enjoyed it. Inside is really large and open, with many different seating options and rooms. They have a full bar with TVs, giant booths, is well organized, and is in the end a comfortable setting. There is a giant free parking lot attached on the side of the restaurant, so finding a space is really easy.

Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out extremely fast. The menu here is very large, so there are tons of options on it. For this visit, I chose the 14th Street Breakfast Sandwich and added avocado. I thought it was honestly really good and I also switched to the brioche bread which I would recommend. All the dishes that I’ve ordered here have been consistently good and I plan to be back many times in the future.

Fantastic brunch experience here on a Sunday morning around 11:30am! We waited for 30 minutes since it was busy, but ordered quickly once seated. Note that they do have a bar, which is first come first serve and they play sports games on the TVs. I wouldn’t say the interior is anything special in its decor, but it’s a well maintained mix of traditional wood and modern metal that gives the place a higher-end feel.

Our server and the rest of the staff were extremely attentive, checking in on us frequently throughout our meal. The cafe latte was good, but served in a cup that made it difficult to drink as you had to drink so much foam before you could enjoy the coffee. Foodwise we ordered the strawberries and cream waffle and Pablo’s breakfast burrito with a side of fresh fruit. Both dishes were delicious and the presentation was phenomenal! The savory chipotle sauce on the burrito was addicting and the almonds, cream and strawberries on the waffle paired super well together. My only criticism is that the texture of the waffle was dense and tough to cut.

We had a lovely time visiting, and Brad did a lovely job of looking after us. We really loved the chicken skewers. We also had a salad, honey prawn and mac and cheese. Definitely give the purple haze mocktail a try, too.

I had a delicious lunch at Truxton’s including monkey bread with garlic butter, honey glazed shrimp with a zesty slaw & sweet potato fries. Every bite was delectable. While not on the menu, per my request they made strawberry lemonade for me. It was also very good. I’m looking forward to a return visit.

I found this place via Google; the menu intrigued me, so I intended to go in the early afternoon but ended up going for breakfast. I started with a French Lavender ’75 cocktail; a mix of gin, lemon juice, lavender syrup, and sparkling wine ($15.50). A refreshing starter though perhaps a Bloody Mary would have been more appropriate as this cocktail should have been paired with a more delicate dish.

I ordered the Chicken and Applewood Bacon Waffle ($23.95) as I love fried chicken and waffles. The chicken tenders were tasty as was the bacon. The waffle was okay but not crispy enough for me. I feel waffles served with chicken should be cooked extra crispy as the heat from the chicken softens the waffle on which they’re placed. Other than that, it was a fine rendition of a favorite of mine.

The menu is vast, and they offer desserts that I love, including mixed berry cobbler and an apple tart. Both were off limits as I’m on a quest to lose the weight I gained on 39 days of cruising, so I ended my meal with a cup of coffee ($3.75). Service from Marcos was fine.

There is plenty of parking in an adjacent lot and I didn’t have to wait too long to get a table. I’ll be back!

I decided on this restaurant based on the review i read online, and I was not disappointed. There is a parking lot beside the place. Otherwise, street parking is allowed. We had about 3 minutes of wait time before we were seated. The menu had selections from salads, burgers, sandwiches, lunch specials, breakfast options with varieties of desserts, and a bar. We had the chicken skewers for the appetizer, and it was a 10/10. It was fresh, hot juicy on the inside, with a sweet sauce on top. I went for the honey chicken sandwich, and I loved how fresh, juicy, and tasty it was. Ivan was our server, and he did a great job. Every staff member made every customer feel important that I loved. The restaurant is about 10 minutes away from LAX, and it is worth visiting. I will be back there anytime I visit Los Angeles.

Casual spot with good eats. Prices are good and menu selection has breadth. Fries were a bit cold and dipping sauces for the rotisserie chicken were just ok. Good place to watch a game on TV.

We were in need of a breakfast place near the airport, and wanted something delicious for our last meal together.

Very glad to find this place.

A few shout outs, the staff were very nice. We arrived unknowingly with 15 min left of breakfast. We asked and they made it work, were quick to take orders and get everything in.

We had mimosas, highly recommend, both the sparkling wine and the juice were top notch. And then each of us had a different dish. Chicken and waffles, French toast, and a breakfast burrito. Each of us enjoyed the food. My only call out was the chicken was a bit crunchy and firm to cut along with the waffle, but the flavor was wonderful and I single cut it separately.

Highly recommend.

Huge thank you to the manager on shift, who made the experience!
