This establishment is a true gem for enthusiasts, boasting an impressive selection of 400 rare whiskies from across the globe. I was stunned to find a rare Irish whiskey that I haven’t come across in over a decade! The service was equally exceptional; the bartender was knowledgeable and proactive with her recommendations. After I asked for a local bourbon, she guided me toward a truly fantastic selection. With wonderful food and a warm, inviting atmosphere, I highly recommend this place!

Absolutely worth the stop. Good food at a decent price. Fast, friendly service. We had chicken fried steak, shrimp alfredo and ribeye. Memorabilia from classic Hollywood to more recent movie posters. Loved the atmosphere. Pool table for those inclined. Glad we stopped in.

Limon, Colorado, may not offer the same range or variety of restaurant choices as a big city, it does offer a few. We are here for a couple of days and chose our first dinner to be at Oscar’s Bar & Grille, it’s all movie themed. Old reel cameras, posters and photos adorn the interior. It was a fun vibe.
The menu has a lot to choose from. Pizza, steaks, shrimp, sandwiches and appetizers or “previews”. Most of the item names or categories were related somehow to movies too. It was kind of fun reading them.
Usually, my beautiful Bride and I split a meal, but today we couldn’t quite agree on what to split so we ordered separate meals. We did split a preview of the spinach artichoke dip. It has “house made chips” and was labeled as “creamy and cheesy”. It was as advertised. There was even a bit of baked cheese in the side of the bowl. Yes, we used a spoon to make sure there was nothing left behind!
My Bride ordered a Texas BBQ Burger topped with onion rings; it comes with a side of fries too. She told me she liked the fries first, so I had wondered about the burger. She said it was good, but overcooked for the medium she ordered. It looked closer to well, but definitely not a hockey puck. The onion rings were yummy too. She has one and gave the others to me. They were lightly breaded and not too soaked in oil. A little salt and they were yummy. The fries and rings made up for the well-done sandwich!
I ordered a “Hello Lucy” aka a Cubano. It was good. The ham overpowered the pulled pork as far as flavor, making more of a grilled ham and Swiss cheese sandwich in flavor. It was still good and I would order it again, but would try other things first. I got a side of Cole slaw and it was yummy. It was a mayo style and slightly crisp cabbage. It was worth the risk on restaurant slaw and I would definitely order again.
Yes, because we didn’t split meals, there is leftovers for lunch.
Our waitress was friendly, gave us time to look over the menu, and took our order with no rush. The only thing I wish she had done was ask if we saw the specials board when we walked in. We noticed it on the way out, and one of the shrimp specials would have been a strong contender (a “Rocky” shout out). Oh well, I guess we’ll have to go back.
All in all, this was nice experience in a hub city. People were friendly and the food was good. It was fun looking at all the movie stuff.

Place was busy and packed, so we were very hopeful. If you’re driving I-70 wanting a meal, keep driving.

Food was mediocre at best. Burgers were WELL done,so dry, bland. Appeared to be pre-formed patties, so disappointing with ranch land all around this area. Veggies as a side were frozen, bagged mix-soggy and yuck! Shrimp salad had a very fishy smell. Brisket/burger had a very tiny portion of dry brisket.

We ordered food for pickup and the lady who took our order over the phone was so great! We looked at the menu on the website beforehand and there were good descriptions so we knew what we wanted. She told us it would only be like 10 minutes which I thought was pretty quick so we headed over to pick it up. It looked busy but they still had our order ready quickly and within the time they said. There were a few things we asked for that the waitress had to keep going to the back to get but she had a positive attitude the whole time and was very sweet. We ordered fried pickles, the gladiator burger, pot roast and the turtle cheesecake. It was all very good, no complaints. We are just passing through otherwise I would come here again.

Some of the FRIENDLIEST staff, who are actually attentive to guests. The food is as good as the service here and the owner is incredible in that he is involved in the service and staff but is helpful, friendly, and not above grabbing things you need if his staff is busy.

Truly a great atmosphere to hang out with the family or friends, or get a drink. Also the place is clean, bathrooms and all.

If you eat here. Get. some. dessert. That peach cheesecake is to die for. Super creamy and flavorful, but not TOO sweet you can’t eat it.

We didn’t know what to expect when we stopped here for lunch on our road trip, and were quite delighted with what we found. The menu was broad, the service was great, and the food was excellent. If it wasn’t like a thousand miles from home I would be back often. As it is, I will have to remember Oscar’s next time we are traveling through Limon. The movies posters in the hallway are a nice touch. The big windows offer great views of the area.

We’ve eaten here multiple times over the years and have been thoroughly impressed with the consistency and quality of the food and service. Fun and friendly atmosphere with top notch, waitresses, cooks and servers. Every restaurant owner should take a lesson from this place.
