First, the ambience of this place is simply amazing and we were immediatly greeted by the friendliest staff as soon as we stepped into the door. It was dinner time and there was plenty of room on the deck, so they got us sat down and quickly got our drinks. After that came the food order, and our server was amazingly patient as our kids hmmm’d and haawed about what they wanted.
We started with an appetizer of The Buffalo Chicken Nachos, and I felt like I was just introduced to a secret recipe that only a few get to behold. This dish was amazing!!! So simple in it’s complexity, but full of flavor with the perfect combination of queso, buffalo sauce and chicken. If this was all we ordered, I would have been completely satisfied…and yet…I continue because I couldn’t help myself. hehe
I came for the tenderloin, so a tenderloin was what I ordered. So crisp and the perfect thinness. It did slip a little in the seasoning category, but was still very edible…and it was the perfect size. I usually trim the sides and dip them, and was not disappointed there either. The seasoned fries that came with it were also very tasty!
My wife ordered the Soy Chili Glazed Salmon with broccoli. It wasn’t dry or overcooked, and possessed the perfect amount of seasoning. She also dug into the nachos to help me clear that plate.
Daughter #1 had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Not a HUGE fan of buffalo sauce, but she gave it a whirl. She took a few bites, then passed it to my more adventurous eater (daughter #3) who quickly gobbled it up and slid her half of her cheeseburger. Daughter #1 also got the Wolfie Chips as a side…and they were sooooo gooood…so she had to share them with everyone. 🙂
Daughter #2 dug into the Horsey Sirloin Steak Tacos and we didn’t hear anything from her all dinner long until that plate was cleaned off. SHE LOVED THEM! The meat was very well seasoned and the combination of toppings were perfection!
Our littlest 7 year old, of course, challenged the Wolf Pack Mac N Cheese and loved it. He said that it tasted a little bit smokey, and like the breaded topping. Of course, he loved the chicken strips that were cut and put on top as well…and he’s a finicky eater.
All in all, Wolfies Grill was worth the 1 hour drive just to get the food, but the view was a great plus up to the journey and we will definitely be going again.
The food at both places is always yummy. The people at both places are always professional, efficient and friendly.
We were at the Morse Reservoir location this past Friday the 9th. (GO HOOSIERS) We had the pizza for the first time. We got the Supreme added jalapenos. And it lives up to it’s name. It was SUPREME .
Our server in the bar area was Beau. He has been our server a few times. Always does an excellent job. Logan always does an excellent job also.
Wolfies restaurants are the only place I will get a Burger. The bacon is always crispy. Anyplace else is a disappointment in comparison to WOLFIES.
I admire that they are closed on Sunday. Impressive business attitude.
We almost always get a side of Wolfies Chips as an appetizer with a side of boom boom sauce. It is a GREAT shareable. They should put it on the appetizer menu.
We’ve been to at least 3 different WOLFIES. The food is amazingly consistent at the various locations. YUMMY
Keep up the GREAT work!
Thank you ,
Update (6-1-2024): We got the same thing as last time, except this time we also got the blackened chicken bacon club. Delicious! Our server Ty was really good and we had a lovely seat out on the deck. Can’t wait to go back!
