This Saravana Bhavan location is fantastic. The food is always good. If you know the brand, then you know that locations can be a hit or miss. This one doesn’t disappoint.
During my most recent visit, I took my mom and dad. We got rasam, pesarattu, appam, and benna dosai. Each dish was delicious. The portion sizes are also generous. I highly recommend visiting!

Everything we ordered was so so delicious reminded me of food in India.
But a special mention of the millet kesari. I keep dreaming of it very often. Must have !!

Yes they are known for their South Indian food, but their Cholle Bhature are just marvelous.
Bhature are how they should be, unlike other Indian restaurants who serve puri in the name of bhature. The chhole are different from what chhole should be in chhole bhature but they are just so good.

This is a go-to staple for south indian food – dosa, vada, idli.
I tend to stick to the Rava Masala Dosa but have also had the Chole Batura.
One recommendation I’d make is for the restuarant to encourage their landlord to have electric vehicle (EV) charging stations installed in the parking lot. This restaurant in particular attracts lots of EV drivers (especially Teslas).
Having EV chargers would bring more customers to you and increase revenue.
I encourage you and the landlord to contact local Houston company, Pangea Charging, to walk you through the economics and process.

Manager and owner didn’t disclose there names, cheated me with my charges and didnt provide my complete food, and with anger this is what they put in my food when I came home and opened it. I have been customer with this restaurant for many years but lately they are extremely rude, unprofessional, discriminatory, dishonest and disrespectful. I had order from uber for myself to pick and ordered separate 2 orders on top of it, I called when i was driving towards the restaurant to make sure they are open, the guy was really rude, asked me for credit card and told me we will leave your food outside at 10:00 PM if you don’t come. Then i said i will be there, i was there few mins after, then the person denied to open the door and finally after being extremely disrespectful he opened and ask me for money first, ofcourse 1 ordered i paid and the other i had to pay, i did make payment and was checking on my food, he actually through me out the restaurant, he didn’t let me check my food and say mean words. I told him i m in medical field and take care of my patients well, because of customer you have your restaurant and jobs, so please appreciate them. Look this is how they took the revenge, they had paper clip and paper and hairs in my food. I ll be going to the local health and human authorities with these pictures and make sure they take actions so people can get proper food and respect from restaurants like this. I would never ask anyone to go to this location ever again. Every restaurant wait for their paid customers to pick their orders and appreciate the business but this people don’t care. Specially My Parents also faced this kind of misbehave and rudeness from this staff.

My new favorite Indian restaurant! Kaima Idli is very unique and tasty. Ravi Masala Dosa is the best I’ve ever had, and the lassi here is great. Great tiffins, teas, and very clean and neat. My mom said the food is reasonably priced. I will definitely be back.

Tasty food and nice studio are the saving grace. Crowded on the weekends, so expect to wait for 15 minutes or more. The weekdays are a hit or a miss.
We went on a weekday to avoid the crowds. But all the dishes we asked for were weekend only. None of them were marked on the menu as weekend only.
The dishes we got were really tasty and saved the trip. Still recommend but be ready to get something else.

We went to Saravanaa Bhavan for a quick lunch based on a local recommendation, and in fact, we were driven to this place by a friend who lived in Houston. Saravanaa Bhavan is not new to us, as there is already one in Singapore, and we just wanted to experience what it is like in the US. It did not disappoint at all, and in fact, we were super full with the lunch we had here. We ordered Mango Lassi, our all-time favorite. We ordered the Special Meal Thali with Poori, which was delicious and very, very full. Just to remind that the Special Meal quantity is big and its difficult to finish all in the plate. The place is very easy to approach. Plenty of parking atleast during the lunch hours. The Restaurant itself is very clean and there is an open kitchen concept so what we see is what we get. We will go again to this place for another good meal.
