The restaurant was mostly empty.
The hostess walked us to the furthest area of the restaurant in the corner. They can see that I was holding on to my granny and helping her by guiding her to where we needed to go so I don’t know why we had to walk so far.
There were plenty of open tables all the way to the back corner.
Our waitress was really nice.
She promptly came to take our drink order.
We ordered the queso appetizer.
She brought out our drinks and bread. Of course the bread was hot and good as usual.
I ordered the Hawaiian chicken, Granny had the chicken strips, and husband had the chicken fried chicken.
We got our appetizer with our dinner.
I asked for my Hawaiian chicken with no rice and it came with a big ol’ giant scoop, I just didn’t want it.
The chicken was grilled to perfection and hot.
The steamed vegetables were just bland steamed vegetables. Luckily I had some queso to dip it in for flavor. The queso was good.
Granny’s chicken strips were overcooked. But came out hot with steaming french fries.
The husband said his chicken fried chicken was delicious hot and fresh.
I totally recommend this place if you’re looking for a great steak. Next time we are up here working, I’m getting the mesquite grilled salmon.
I also recommend saving the rolls for dessert. They give you butter and honey and those are great too.
Ashley was our waitress and she never let my tea glass get close to being empty. She’s super friendly and took care of us.
See ya next time!
My husband and I both wanted to see a drink menu. What’s provided at the table did not list the beer or wine choices. The waitress had a written list in her pocket but when I asked for clarity on the wine options she was very limited in her knowledge. She could not tell me the brands or prices of the wines on her list.
As for the food, we enjoyed the complimentary rolls and they were very fresh and hot. My husband ordered the 12oz ribeye with side salad and steamed veggies. He was very pleased with his meal and I enjoyed the bites I tried. I ordered the special bourbon bacon salmon with sweet potato as pictured. The top and bottom of the salmon was so charred it was almost inedible. I was able to only eat 2/3rds of the salmon which was really disappointing. The bacon on top seemed to be bacon bits from a bag which was not what I expected.
I am happy that they had healthier options like steamed veggies and a baked sweet potato but this meal was lacking in a big way.
If we came through often (but we don’t) I would give it another try but would not reorder this special.
Jessica our waitress gave excellent service.
Crab dip ~ good. Pineapple Steak ~ yummy ~ cooked right.
Grilled Chicken ~ a little dry but the mushrooms and cheese made it flavorful. Huge portion.
Loaded mashed potatoes ~ always yummy. Hot Rolls ~ DELICIOUS!
Side salads ~ tasty, cold and crunchy.
Price ~ not bad.
A sure bet for us.
