Come on! 90 years in business. You know they’ve done something right. We did the bolognese and would probably do the meat sauce next time, but that was on us. But the salads were good, and we loved to sausage side as an appetizer. Definitely would return.

The food was great, but the service was exceptional. I went with my wife and two of our friends. One of those friends has a gluten allergy and our server Wendy was so attentive to their concerns. She kept our drinks full, answered any questions we had, and was just overall fantastic at her job. Sometimes you get servers that just don’t care and are rude, but that was not the case here. The atmosphere was great as well. It’s a relatively small restaurant compared to other Italian food establishments. But it was a warm and welcoming environment. We all ordered something different and when it all got brought to the table, each meal looked amazing. Our two friends both had trouble debating if they could finish their meals or needed to take the rest home. One gave in and finished it and the other took it home, but the fact that they enjoyed it so much that that was a real predicament for them says something about the food quality. I will absolutely dine here again.

I came here with my girlfriend and she ordered the San Luci Chicken, and at the recommendation of our server Wendy, I ordered the 3 cheese tortellini with breaded chicken.

It. Was. Delicious!

Before I realized it I had already finished my plate. For desert we got the tiramisu (also at Wendy’s suggestion) and that went just as fast. The food is amazing, the interior is beautiful, and our service was top notch! Thanks to Wendy for making our date night special.

Love this place! All the food and everyone was on point. Great music ambience and atmosphere. My wife and I have been seeking an Italian restaurant to frequent looks like this will be the place. All the service was perfect from the hostess the server and so on. Everyone had a wonderful and welcoming attitude. Great job.

I had a mixed experience having dinner at Pompilios last night to celebrate my youngest son’s 18th birthday. The food was good and the ambience, as always, “old school” & special. Our waitress was friendly, but I had to ask for the bread basket three times, and she’d respond by throwing under the bus “the girl” who was supposed to bring the bread. Of course she could’ve just stepped up and handled it herself–but I assume she didn’t because she forgot. I asked the hostess on arrival if they did anything special for birthdays. I told her it didn’t need to be freebies; I’d just like it if they brought out a desert with a candle or something of the sort. She said she thought so (why didn’t a host know this?) and that she would talk to our server. They did nothing. With the exception of my glass of wine, our drinks were served in plastic cups. C’mon Pompillios, bring your A-game. You should be sweating the small stuff in order to create memories for customers, not frustrating us.

It is a fantastic spot for authentic Italian cuisine. The food is absolutely delicious, with generous portions perfect for sharing. I ordered the Shrimp Ronaldo and the Italian Sampler Platter for my entrée, risotto balls as an appetizer, and finished with tiramisu for dessert—all of which were excellent.

The patio has a great setup, making it a lovely place to dine outdoors. Inside, the décor and ambiance add to the restaurant’s charm, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. While service was a bit slower on a Tuesday night, I must say it was well worth the wait.

The only downside is the parking—it can be a challenge to find a spot nearby. However, if the weather is nice, parking at the Levee and taking a short walk is a great alternative.

Overall, Pompilio’s is a must-visit for anyone looking for quality Italian food in a cozy and welcoming setting. Highly recommend!

We went to Pompilio’s to celebrate a birthday, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The birthday guest ordered the lasagna. When it arrived, it was noticeably flat, and the server even commented that it might not be good and said they would replace it if needed. When we asked for another piece, we were then told they had no more lasagna because it had all been ruined.
This left the birthday guest without an entrée. My daughter’s meal was also not good and she barely ate any of it, so I ended up sharing my own entrée just so everyone had something to eat.
To their credit, the restaurant did comp part of the meals and provided free entree and desserts, which we appreciated. However, it doesn’t make up for the fact that a birthday dinner turned into a stressful and disappointing experience. We expected much better, especially for a special occasion.

I’ve been dining with Pompilio’s for over 30 years and it’s typically fabulous. However, it’s been declining. Last night my order of rigatoni bolognese contained about 2 tablespoons of bolognese sauce and although 95% pasta, a lackluster portion size. Had to travel early, but hope they make this right in the future.

This place is wonderful! Great for a date night. The food was incredible! Highly recommend the Risotto balls for appetizer & Cannoli for desert! We loved this place! (Atmosphere was a bit loud, probably due to volume of customers)
