Ate here today. Service was reaaaally slow. Must be understaffed. I saw people at most tables looking around for someone to take their order. I saw people standing up to look for someone to help them. Our waitress took her lunch break and no one came to our table during her 30 min break. Also, I ordered a side portion of fries and they were comically small. For $5. Also the biscuits are like half the size they used to be? (From the last time I came like 3 years ago). When we were going to leave I heard the table behind us say they wanted to talk to a manager and it was their worst Lucille’s experience ever. I also saw another group of 5 try to be seated at a booth for 4. The girl seating them didn’t care. When their waitress came she said… do you guys want another table?? lol. Won’t be coming back. Didn’t give one star because the food was decent.

Ordered the Smoked Pork Belly Burnt Ends and Lucille’s Baby Back Ribs with mashed potatoes and mac & cheese, totally worth it. Good service too, the waitress was plenty attentive and it wasn’t packed at the time I visited in the evening.

Also tried out that Mexican bottled Coca-Cola, since it’s supposed to taste better with actual sugar… meh, tasted the same to me.

I ordered the Family Feast for 4 plus an extra pound of brisket for takeout. The brisket was good, but two of the chicken pieces were severely undercooked. On top of that, I only received three tiny BBQ sauces — nowhere near enough for the amount of food I ordered. Definitely expected better for the price I paid.

Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que is always a favorite for me when I travel. I decided to give the Orange, California location a try. The service was great, I got seated right away and the Server was right there as soon as I was seated to get my drink order. Extremely fast service at this location. The food was outstanding as I have come to expect from Lucille’s and this location did not disappoint. Extensive menu selection with something for everyone, There are lunch, early bird, and dinner menus available. The restaurant has plenty of seating and this location has a large bar area with plenty of televisions if you want to to watch sports. The restaurant was very clean and was well maintained with its classic design seating. The location has a large parking lot. Overall this location was outstanding and I recommend it.

This portion for $53 is both pathetic and insulting. Portion size set aside, the meat was tough and lacked flavor. Disappointment would be an understatement. Can not recommend enough that you don’t go here.

We order takeout from here. A lot. For some reason, this location’s online order system doesn’t allow for coupons or promotional codes. You need to go in and order with the takeout staff or call to place the order to redeem, which I don’t understand, it’s inconvenient in comparison to the other Lucille’s locations with the exact same ordering platform that has no problem having the redemption code fields. Aside from that USUALLY we have great experiences, however, the last few visits I’ve had have been off-putting (with issues each order consecutively). I purchase avocado, but don’t receive it. I purchase full tri tip wedge salads, and only receive either the half size or the smallest end of the lettuce, which doesn’t and shouldn’t constitute a “full” size. Along with that, 2 pieces of tri tip and a half-filled little container of the dressing is not worth the cost of the full salad. We also had an incident recently where we ordered delivery through them just once (due to some car problems), and had issues with that. The bag was fully sealed, not tampered with, but missing the biscuits, and again, lack of salad mentioned above, in addition to a lack of portion of a fried chicken and half filled sides, and, they used door dash for delivery. Now I don’t have a problem with door dash. I have a problem when the delivery instructions are not followed. The delivery person who was to deliver our order, could not read English. He called me and started off rambling in Spanish, I told him I’m sorry, I did not speak Spanish, and I had to hang up and text that number the delivery instructions by using google translate to put in Spanish for him because he could not understand me when I spent 10 minutes trying to speak slower to get it to compute. It was an additional wait for the driver to be able to locate and deliver the order. Needless to say I won’t order for delivery from here again, the delivery fee nor the missing items was not refunded when I submitted feedback to both platforms. I’m not saying there was anything wrong with the fact the delivery person couldn’t understand me, but orders are not properly being checked for quality assurance, and delivery instructions are not being followed.

I’m still ordering takeout from here, not as much anymore, leaving larger gaps in my attempts, I’m not sure if it’s all new kitchen staff or that the current just doesn’t care anymore.. I’m starting to shift my focus to the other locations, especially since their ordering system is more inviting to let people use their redemption codes. It’s worth the travel to go to the Tustin location, though the Brea one is questionable but still worth trying. It just sucks because I live 10 minutes away from this location and it’s got ample parking for pickup, and it’s usually easy in and out…

I’ve contacted them each time I receive a survey. They need to do better.

They serve you a basket of butter biscuits with apple butter and that was so AMAZING.
The Smoked BBQ Nachos was amazing the biscuit was delicious, tender and mouthwatering.
Only complaint was I wish the cheese was more cheesy-er. The gumbo was rich in flavor and fill me up.

Parking was very easy. The restaurant is beautiful nice decorated Texas Vibes.

I havent eaten at Lucilles in years, it used to be good. I received a gift card so off I went. Walked into what I recalled was a nice restaurant but seemed now more like a low end Denny’s. The service was great had no issues there. The food was served luke warm and had looked like it was dished up at a cheap Vegas buffet or hospital cafeteria. It most certainly wasnt freshly cooked. Lucilles has now become the big chain Denny’s of the BBQ industry. Free gift card or not, I nor my family will ever go back.

It’s been a while since I ate here. This time I came alone after dropping off my daughter at the movies. Today is a Saturday around 6pm, surprisedly it wasn’t busy. Since I came alone I got a seat right away. What shocked me the most was within 3 minutes when my server Gregory P put in my order I got my food. Literary before I even got my drink & biscuits. That was a WOW & a first time ever. Guess perks of eating alone. I ordered a full rack of ribs that the meat was falling off the bones. So yummy. Was so hungry so only remember to take a picture after boxing up my food togo.
Want to give a big shout out to the cooks in the back for making my food quick & super yummy, that I felt special. Also to Gregory so making my dining experience feel warm & comfortable. He didn’t make me feel weird for dining alone. It’s been 4 1/2 years since my husband passed away & this is the first time eating out alone & I felt like it was a really special experience.
Will come back but I know this special experience won’t happen again.

First time at this Smokehouse. The server Roy is very nice and helpful. As a new customer I didn’t know what to order, Roy helped me with the dish that was perfect for me.

I ordered the combo with 3 choices of meat and I chose baby back ribs, pork belly, and beef brisket. I would have to say baby ribs was the best.

For the experience, they serve you a basket of butter biscuits with honey butter and that was so AMAZING.

For the dessert I ordered banana pudding with ice cream and that was delicious and satisfying.

Parking was very easy. The restaurant is beautiful nice decorated Texas Vibes.
