Super clean and comfortable.
Easy to understand menu.
Each meal full of flavor, texture and color.
The fish tacos were a different fish on each day. Both amazing.
The clam chowder is full of clams.
We took an order of seafood soup back to the hotel for dinner.
The fish plates were huge!
Water is self serve (choice of lemon or cucumber water). Cashier was helpful and knowledgeable of the menu items.
Ordered a snapper sandwich. Fish was delicate and fresh caught (not confirmed if they’re fresh caught from the same morning). Sandwich itself is flavorful, the onions and tomatoes pair with the fish very well.
It’s packed, there’s always seating (indoor and outdoor). Good ambient background chatter noises, able to chit chat with people.
Ordered a few things. The halibut was very fresh with a nice charred grilled flavor and overall very tasty. Probably the best halibut we have had, though I still think I personally prefer swordfish. The veggies on the plate were refreshing.
I had the swordfish sandwich for $20.95 and it was excellent. I’ve always liked swordfish but this was next level. Charred on the outside, tender on the inside, and a great option if you do not like a strong fish flavor.
We also tried the 8oz chowder for $5.95. It was good, but I prefer the New England style more.
My son had the salmon kids meal for $15.95. It came with rice and beans and he finished it in minutes. I tried a bit myself and honestly could eat this salmon everyday.
You order at the front and the food is brought out to you. There is no real table service. It was pretty packed during late lunch. There is a very small parking lot in the back, maybe four or five cars, and otherwise there’s street parking available.
It did feel a bit pricey but the food was fresh and delicious. I really loved the fish here and would definitely come back to try these flavors again. You can also buy fresh fish to take home, and it all looked great. The ambiance inside was nice. 4.5 rounded down.
I’ve never been much of a fish person, but this place completely converted me. The seafood is unbelievably fresh and incredibly delicious—everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.
I’m still talking about it days later. If you’re in San Diego, this is a must-stop spot for seafood lovers (and future seafood lovers).
Sean is a talented owner who puts out absolute delicious seafood and hospitality. If you like seafood get here!
Thanks Sean and the staff for many great meals.
Don’t sleep on their clam chowder either, it’s the best I’ve ever had outside of the east coast.
And the salads are on point too, can’t go wrong really with the protein choice. Fish, shrimp, octopus, scallops all are super delicious.
This has been a go-to spot in my family for about 20 years and I just can’t get enough!
I got a salad with fresh halibut, avocado and vinaigrette. The food was good—4/5. The halibut could use more seasoning, but overall it’s simple, no-frills healthy food. The wait staff was very nice too.
Worth a visit if you want fresh seafood without any fuss.
