When I was last at TGIFriday, it wasn’t good, and I was looking over at a Crab Shack sign and thought that it looked interesting. I decided to go there tonight for my Birthday. I called up to book and was startled by an cowboy phone bot with convincing office background sounds taking the call, very weird. Anyway, we got there agreed where to sit. The menu has way more options than I initially thought. As its Friday I went for the shrimp boil and 2 pint stein. I can honestly say I haven’t eaten in a restaurant with such an attentive and supportive server as Joanne in years! She was amazing, helping with the one issue (nachos) that we had quickly and caring for the person who sent it back so nicely! The food is incredible! However, for all the amazing food, the only thing that did let it down was the Nachos – what looked like a bag of nacho chips with cheese and guac on a plate, that’s it. The rest was incredible and the cocktails were enjoyable and smooth! But I really can’t push how amazing Joanne was!
Also, nearly forgot, they had live music. Two sets that we were there for the first being a Tennessee Jazz sound the second was more country soul. Very nice mood!
We ended up speaking to the manager to say how amazing Joanne was!

Food – Mediocre is the most accurately I could describe what I’ve had. As much as it’s mostly a seafood place and I do not eat seafood (it was not my choice to come here), what I did have, the taste-o-rama, certainly was ok. The coleslaw, it’s coleslaw alright!; the beans, ok, but regular baked beans would’ve been better; the chicken and pork rib both were quite bland and not very BBQ, despite advertisement; the cornbread, is cool I guess but the meat sauces ruin the bottom & the pulled pork was actually pretty solid, I won’t deny that. Best part was certainly the milkshake though, though I’d be surprised if you messed that up. It certainly set good first impressions though, unfortunately not maintained.
Service – It was fine. Not the friendliest but not bad. That said, despite it being not very busy, I was given the wrong person’s meal, and when they took it back, it took another 8 minutes to get mine and my brother’s meals. Ouch. They were apologetic though, and not overly, so it was handled well after. Other than that, fine, although they did come to ask for orders a bit too soon.
Atmosphere – Hey, pretty good! Facing out into the rest of Bluewater certainly isn’t ideal for atmosphere, but it was fairly solid. They had 2 musicians, a pianist/singer, and a drummer, who were quite good. Outside that, the music playing before and after was, good, but that’s up to personal preference. The aesthetics were also neat, again, nothing mind-blowing but good.
To sum it up, I, truthfully, wouldn’t say this is my first recommendation for American (especially not after the glorious new Smokehouse we vistwdast month, certainly a tough act to follow). It’s not awful though, and again, I feel this is very important to say, I did NOT try the seafood AT the seafood place, so do take this with a grain of salt.

Our first visit to this restaurant left us disappointed but after speaking with the manager we decided to give it another shot. The second visit was a completely different experience, for the better.
The food was great, I had the seafood boil which was piping hot, had a good number of prawns and tasty sauce. The rib tips to start were hot and fall off the bone tender which is exactly what you’d expect from a place like this. The young man serving us was excellent, attentive and came up with recommendations to upsell which did work
All in all a great meal out this time round

I absolutely love this location. I think that this is my favorite location so far (between Covent Garden and Canary Wharf) I totally prefer Bluewater. The service is amazing, the restaurant is spacious and the food is great – I honestly feel that it’s just quality food!

Thanks for today – we had an amazing time and great food. Special shout out to the Portuguese lady (that used to be a chef) she was so lovely!

Thanks Big Easy! ♥️

I really enjoyed the meal here. As a self proclaimed bbq expert I give five stars! The brisket was juicy, the pulled pork was amazing. I initially thought it was a bit expensive but the portions were also decent. I was pleasantly surprised.

Other than the gravy being bit weird, I thoroughly recommend it and will be back!

My husband and I went to our usual movie date night at Showcase in Bluewater to see Knives Out. After the movie we decided to dine at Big Easy since I’m a big fan of Live Music and seafood.

The place has 2 levels. We sat upstairs because that’s where the Live band was playing. The atmosphere reminds me of a Texan or New Orleans vibe. The ambience was great and our server was very charismatic. The singer in the band was awesome. They play Live music every night.

We ordered some Voodo wings (of course) to start with. They were meant to be spicy but they weren’t . For our mains, my husband had the 1/2 Peri-Peri Chicken and paired with trufle mash and trufle mac and cheese. The potatoes were nice and creamy with amazing flavor. The mac was really cheesy/saucy but the pasta was a bit undercooked and needed a pinch more of salt. The chicken was not flavorful at all. We were expecting for the chicken to have some chargrilled marks since the chain is known for their BBQ, and for the meat to really be soft and tender but it wasn’t. My husband said we’ll take it home and asked me to do my magic on the chicken (which I did). I had the lobster bake that comes with potatoes, mussels, clams, 1 shrimp and a 1/2 lobster. You can get this dish with a hot and spicy sauce or creamy white. I selected the latter. It was very delicious. The potatoes cooked well, not overly cooked. The only disappointing thing is that there was only 1 jumbo shrimp .

We had some cocktails. I had the Big Easy Rum Punch and they didn’t disappoint. Hubby had the Rum Capirinha and it had a major kick. IYKYK. Lastly, we tried some Picklebacks…we’ve never had pickled infused shots. We tried the Chilli Back and Hot Smoke…hubby didn’t like them because of the spicyness but I LOVED the Hot Smoke…a mix between salty, pickled, and liquor. Thumbs up for me.

Overall, nice ambience but a bit on the pricy side.

Cost= £165

We love the Big Easy in Covent Garden, so when we saw the Bluewater one whilst shopping we were very excited to go there for an early dinner. Unfortunately the headline issue is the food was not really warm. Ribs, chicken and prawns, all just about over room temperature which we didn’t think was right. We spoke to our nice waitress who said something about it being slow cooked but that’s not applicable to the prawns. Anyway, new dishes but the excitement lost. I wouldn’t go back sadly.

A bit disappointing after reading all the other good reviews. I ordered the classic ribs and my partner ordered the crabshack combo. My ribs were very dry so I can only imagine they had been sitting a while. My partners crab was not fresh and overall the plate was absolutely covered in sauce. We will not be returning, especially considering how much we paid!

A great atmosphere and service. A lovely selection of food and drinks to choose.

The only reasoning for a 4/5 star is the fact the Bar.B.Q was very oily for what’s considered BBQ food and it came out lukewarm. A shame as the meats themselves were very good as well as the gravy. Would be a 5/5 if the food came out warmer, especially as being a big sharing platter so it would’ve allowed the food to not be as cold as quick due to the portion size.

However someone else in the group got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and really enjoyed it. Service was great as the hot sauce was put to the side separately in case of the hot sauce being too hot.

We have been to big easy twice now and both the times the experience was exceptional, We had i think her name is casey served us both times and she is an asset to your team. She was very attentive and always brought us what we needed (water, napkins ect) She has an amazing smile and we love coming to big easy because the customer service from her is so friendly and it really makes our experience so good. The food was amazing so thank you to the amazing chefs in the kitchen too, the food was hot, well presented, and was absolutely delicious, we came for dinner there on the 06.11.25 at 7pm and we had the snow crab legs with muscles in the garlic sauce. Whatever chefs was on that night you made me and my boyfriend (who is also a chef) very satisfied and pleased with our meal :)) Deifnetley will be coming back, well worth the prices although slightly higher than your average restraunt, the price is justified by the quality of food service and atmosphere, I would also like to add they do automatically add on a discretionary service charge onto your bill but we gladly have paid this every time as i know it goes to everyone including the chefs….

Thanks again big easy 🙂
