A very quiet Nepalese / Indian restaurant in Kew. The portion sizes are good for the price (~£25-30/person). I would highly recommend the grilled lamb, which tastes delicious with mint sauce. The only thing that could be improved is the service, we had to ask several times for water and napkins.

Had a really lovely dinner with a friend. The kerala lamb curry and chicken biriyani we had with garlic naan was so good! The taste and presentation was great. Sameer is a great host too. We sampled the avocado papri chaat surprisingly refreshing and a nice starter.

Also very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

Wow what a delicious meal!! The best spot to share a variety of Indian/Nepalese food. We ordered the chicken momos, lamb roganjosh, Nepalese daal and Kulfi (for dessert). You HAVE TO TRY the kulfi — it’s sugar free and house made.

We stumbled into Rara after a lovely day at Kew Gardens which is just a hop and skip away. Started off strong with a plate of chicken momo and chicken lollipop gravy. The lollipop was soul soothing to say the least and momo was as fresh as they come.

We moved on to share a generous portion of gurkha lamb shank with two garlic naans, truly delicious!

The owner’s personal care and attention to everything leaving the kitchen makes this place worth a revisit.

Ps. Get the jug of mango lassi!

Popped in for a meal Friday night and the place was buzzing. The decor is very attractive and the staff were extremely friendly. We ordered starters and they arrived quickly which were delicious. The flavours were so intense and authentic it reminded me so much of time spent in India. The lamb dish my wife had was so tender. The tandoori dish I had was absolutely gorgeous. The dhal was creamy and perfectly cooked. The owner “Zameer”absolutely spoilt us and the head chef is a magician. The menu is so varied and the dishes unlike so many other Indian restaurants. This really is a super little gem tucked away in Kew. And the dishes were extremely reasonably priced and certainly worth every penny. We had an absolutely wonderful evening and can’t wait to go back.

We went to Rara Kew and can honestly say that the food was lovely. The taste and flavour were made in accordance with what we wanted, with no qualms. Both the meat and vegetarian options that we ordered, were great and with a large portion size. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. The service was given with a smile and nothing was too much. I would definitely would recommend Rara Kew.

The Chicken Chettinad and the rose petal chicken korma with pulao rice and cheese naan were absolutely delicious. The service was very helpful, and we had a lovely lunch there.
