Burnt Tortilla has been a family affair with Kathy, Gina and Brandon serving the Gardena community since 1974. Beginning with The Original Burnt Tortilla, which has now expanded to a full-sized dine-in restaurant and bar. The new site is beautifully designed with bright colors and attractive dining areas, able to accommodate large groups for business meetings and family celebrations. The Burnt Tortilla also has a takeout location, which is adjacent to the dine in restaurant. The freshest ingredients are used in our homemade Mexican food. We are famous for our green chili deluxe burrito and look forward to pleasing your taste buds.

Finally made time to enjoy a Sunday lunch here at The Burnt Tortilla. Sat at the bar, was immediately greeted by Pedro the bartender. I ordered the cadillac margarita. Pedro brought me some hot tortilla chips with spicy salsa. I really enjoyed the beef flautas, they were loaded with tender beef, and the guacamole that comes with them was delicious. They have big screen tv’s in the bar area, no sound. So i think they should have some mexican music to add to the ambiance. Overall, i enjoyed my lunch and plan on coming back.

It has been a long time since I had been there II used to go to the other Gardena location, but everything is still delicious. The ambiance was nice. The waiter was really friendly and nice.
We have. Chicken taco place enchilada plate and taquito plate, with rice and beans. The salsa is really spicy, the chips were bland and kind of hard,. The place was really nice, open space, clean restroom, cleaning as well.

I haven’t had Burnt Tortilla in ages, I am think 10+ years. I used to go to the one near Ranch Market until they closed and that was the last time I ate there. It was our mother daughter hang out. On this Mother’s Day, I asked my mom where she wanted to go and chose there. We had a good time, the food was delicious, customer service was good and the restaurant was packed by 11:45am. I love their crunch taco’s. They are not greasy at all and it’s so good. It’s like I how remembered back in the day and the mama was happy. If the Queen is happy so am I.

Enjoyed chimichanga with ground beef and potatoes in their spicy green sauce, similar to the one they serve with chips while waiting for food…spicy level was perfect for me to enjoy! He ordered albóndigas soup and chicken soup too, knowing that albóndigas soup is my favorite but I wasn’t in the mood for soup…was good because he enjoyed both of the soups! Cheese enchiladas with rice and beans was ok too…I honestly feel that their rice could of been cooked better using fresh tomatoes instead of can tomato sauce and the beans had that taste they were a bit on the burnt side…we both noticed that as we tried the sides. Yet all in all the service is great and the chips are made fresh to order with their salsa which for me was delicious…oh yeah they are you enjoying your chips and salsa and more are served to you when those come warm to the table it’s absolutely perfect combo of crispy fresh chips and bursting of spicy salsa that’s so good. They also have larger orders of chips and salsa to go! I thought I took pictures of the soups…well maybe next time…

I guess don’t call here at 7 pm last night I order a taco burrito that was filled up with nothing but lettuce and tomato wheres the beef the beans cheese nothing and don’t get me started on the asada burrito with cheese it had more rice and beans no meat I paid 28.00 dollars for food that was horrible I love this restaurant and for the food to be nothing but lettuce and tomato and beans yall did us wrong on this meal iam so disappointed

I come here almost every Sunday. I order the same thing every time (#21) green sauce with a extra enchilada. My wife gets tacos platter. Service is fast food comes out hot and tasty!

We went to the burt tortilla restaurant, not the take out, It’s a good place. Their portion are generous, and the food is not that bad. To me, it wasn’t an authentic mexican restaurant. There are better Mexican restaurants out there. I wouldn’t put this as a must go place, but it was alright.

Been going here for 35 years and other locations. Great food. Classic independent family owned Mexican restaurant. It’s a bit dated but I guess that’s part of the charm. Good bar too!

Not the same as it was before covid. Watered down Margaritas no hint of Tequila. The server said the drinks were pre-made; they tasted like straight margarita mix with no liquor served in plastic cups. He took them away to remake them which didn’t make sense if it was pre-made. It tasted the exact same, like margarita mix with no tequila.
I ordered a chicken burrito. Great presentation on the outside of the burrito. Inside was a different story. It had HUGE chunks of bellpeppers and onions, and the chicken was like long thick pieces you’d use for chicken fingers or tenders. I prefer the vegetables and meat to be be sliced or cut up into bite size pieces,, not almost whole pieces. It was like the bellpepper was cut in fourths. I was very disappointed in the drink and the burrito. Im sorry I didn’t take a photo of the inside of it for this review. I won’t be going back again. It seemed like my meal was thrown together without any care whatsoever as if it was an inconvenience to make.

So The Hubby found this place for us to go to. This was the first time here for us. We were amazed at how delicious the food is. The Mexican authenticity is real. We know, we love to travel and along the way we eat of course, and of the many places we’ve been to along the coast of California and all throughout, Burnt Tortilla definitely is among the few that stand out as Great!
I had the wet Chicken Burrito in salsa Verde & one Margarita, Hubby had the Wet Chunky beef Burrito in salsa Roja & one Margarita, Daughter had the Chicken Nachos, and My Son had the Chicken Chimichanga and two Sprites. All were amazing in their own way, very tasty, well seasoned, juicy (not greasy) juicy! The meats were soft and tender never chewy, and a big plus was that the food stayed Hot even after we were almost done with it. The Margaritas were very good too, not too big, not too small, if ever you guys go to a restaurant and the drinks are too big you know it’s been watered down. These drinks are just right! My Hubby paid for all of that we ordered (as mentioned above) only $94.87 plus tip.
Highly recommend it’s nice, clean, friendly staff.
